-I liked what I saw from the rising senior as a dynamic athlete that can really fill it up in a hurry for his team. Brown plays with a great change of pace and it is complimented by a lightning quick first step to turn the corner and get downhill in a hurry on an opponent. Brown put pressure on the rim, pushed the pace effectively in transition, knocked down shots behind screens, and served as an effective off-ball shooter that hit some timely shots. His speed and aggression in the halfcourt is a lethal combo to get the step on his matchup and keep that advantage all the way to the rim. One of the more slept-on talents in the state!

A high academic prospect in the 2027 class, Brown is a quick, athletic scoring lead guard who consistently puts pressure on opposing defenses. He does an excellent job reading and using ball screens to create advantages and has the explosiveness to finish above the rim. Brown’s perimeter shot continues to improve, adding another dimension to his offensive game. He has a high basketball IQ and competes at the defensive end as a willing on ball defender.

A high academic prospect, Brown was impressive during June with STAB. The rising senior is an athletic, scoring, ball handling guard with quickness. He has a good feel for the game, is an improving shot maker and knows how to use screens both with and without the ball in his hands. Not just an asset on the offensive end, Brown can match up with an opponent’s top perimeter player.

Jayden is widely known across VA. Jayden is a 6’2 PG from STAB who is a very effective scorer from all 3 levels. He has a quick first step. He is a smooth operator as he can hurt you off the dribble or off the ball coming off screens to knock down open jumpers. Jayden plays with a mature feel for the game as he picked up a major role last year for STAB, being their primary option. He was one of the Virginia Prep League’s best players and best scorers, and I fully expect him to do so once again this year, with offense running through him all year long. Jayden has received some Division 1 interest from some high academic schools, and I’ll be intrigued to see how he does next weekend against some great competition. 

Brown is a scoring lead guard who combines quickness, athleticism, and a strong feel for the game to consistently pressure opposing defenses. He excels at getting downhill and possesses the explosiveness to finish above the rim, a rare trait for a point guard. Brown does an outstanding job reading and utilizing ball screens, showing patience, pace, and the ability to make the correct read when defenses react. His perimeter shooting continues to improve, making him a more complete offensive threat and forcing defenders to respect him at all three levels. A high IQ player, Brown understands how to control the game, create opportunities for himself and teammates, and make winning plays. Defensively, he competes with energy and toughness, embracing the challenge of guarding opposing ball handlers.

-Twitchy downhill driving guard, love the pace that he plays at with the ball in his hands. Brown blocked a big’s shot off his back foot in transition, was a matchup nightmare in transition that put pressure on his opponents’ transition defense, scored off a spin move lay off the window in transition, scored off a hop step lay off glass after he grabbed the defensive rebound to initiate the break. Love the pace and aggression that he plays with at both ends of the floor to accentuate his physical gifts.

Brown led the way offensively for Local Legends with 16 points, showing his ability to create and attack the rim. Even against heavy pressure, he found ways to produce and make plays in space. His length and defensive instincts also flashed, disrupting passing lanes and competing on both ends.

Brown is already well known across the Prep League, but this weekend gives him another stage to remind people why. He’s a natural scorer with the ability to heat up quickly, knocking down shots from deep while also being effective inside the arc. His size and length allow him to impact both ends, making him more than just a scorer. If he gets into a rhythm early, he can take over games and carry momentum for his squad.

An All-State selection at the point guard spot, Brown has carried that momentum into a strong start on the PUMA Circuit with Local Legends. The junior is a dynamic scoring lead guard with excellent quickness and the athleticism to finish above the rim. He does a great job reading and using ball screens, showing a high basketball IQ and strong feel for the game. Brown is an engaged defender on the ball and continues to improve as a perimeter shooter, adding to his overall effectiveness. He plays with confidence and has the ability to take over stretches of the game as both a scorer and playmaker.

Rangy athlete who uses his length to make things happen on either end of the floor. Like how he finds different ways to find teammates for scoring chances. Seeks out contact when on the attack. He is able to glide to the bucket off the bounce. Would like to see him become more consistent from deep. Also hoping against hope he can add some muscle onto to his frame which make his transition to college a lot smoother.
