A good size prospect with a growing body. He can play multiple positions. He’s a good ball handler for the guard position, he showed he could run the point at times, handling ball pressure, and making good passes up court including the long bounce pass. He has good size to help rebound. He didn’t score much, but was a key contributor off the bench. He has some tools to work with.
We haven’t seen a lot of Nishikawa this season. He was a key contributor to his varsity team. He has good fundamentals, plays at a good pace, running the court, ball handling, and making good passes in transition and around the perimeter. He has good drives to the basket handling contact and can knock down the open shots. We’ll have to see more of this prospect going forward.
The 6’9 Bamisebi didn’t get pulled up to the varsity until late into the season. He’s long probably still growing, and bouncy with a frame to fill. Yeah he’s raw, but shows he’s been working to improve his skill set at the center position. Right now he’s a quick jumper going after blocks, he’s active going after rebounds. He showed us low-and mid-post moves, he has a jump hook. He’s one to watch moving forward.
We saw Mikel in the early season. He’s 6’6, still growing. He has to polish up his skill set, but has a good upside to his game. He was active in and around the basket, scoring, and rebounding. He sets screens up top, he’s a target rolling to the basket. He goes up strong, might dunk one. He has lengthy arms and shows good movements on the defensive side of the ball.
Highlights
A long arm guard with the skills to run point, but looks like he can do multiple things off the ball. He spots up well along the perimeter with a good shooting form to put up 3’s. He has a good first step to drive into the paint to finish with the off hand or dish out an assist to a big to go straight up. He has a nice crossover dribble to go by defenders. He shows patience up top in half-court sets. His 12ppg was second on a team that made a deep run in the play-offs. We’ll see more
Lukas is a good 3-point shooter, he has no hesitation, a quick release, along with deep range to knock down 3’s when left alone. He’s kind of shifty with the handles, using stop and go moves to freeze defenders on the drive into the paint for kick-outs, floaters and paint jumpers. He has an off the dribble mid-range jumper. He puts himself in good position on defense, plays good help defender, and denial. He’s averaged 12ppg, and was a the second leading scorer.
