A good all around guard you can go to when you need a bucket, he makes good use of screens, can hit quick hitters or drive it in absorbing contact. He can run point, handle ball pressure, he has good body control working to get to his spots, he’ll get his shot off over defenders in the paint. He has a clean jump shot from mid-range out past the 3-point line.

Going forward he’s going to attract the other teams top defender. Nishikawa has hard dribbles, and a solid body he uses every time he goes to the basket. He’s got good hang time, and attacks from different areas. He used his hard hard dribbles along the baseline, planting two feet, then powered up drawing contact and converting. He hits the paint jumper with lift, knocks down long 3’s from the top and other areas. He handles ball pressure. Looks to take and make the big shots.

He’s a rising guard in the 2027 class. He’s a good all around guard, plays with energy and pace. He’s an excellent ball handler, a willing passer, he can run the point. He’s a legitimate shot maker using screens, and movement to knock down mid-range jumpers off the dribble, 3’s on the corner catch, and out on the perimeter.

We haven’t seen a lot of Nishikawa this season. He was a key contributor to his varsity team. He has good fundamentals, plays at a good pace, running the court, ball handling, and making good passes in transition and around the perimeter. He has good drives to the basket handling contact and can knock down the open shots. We’ll have to see more of this prospect going forward.
