Pur was a pivotal piece in the Burlington Christian frontcourt despite just being a member of the 2027 class in North Carolina. He led all freshmen in the NCISAA with six double-doubles on the year while producing 11.5 PPG, 9.0 RPG and 2.8 BPG. He saved some of his best performances for the playoffs as he put up 27 points and 12 rebounds in their upset bid of The Burlington School in the NCISAA 2A State Quarterfinals. He also led the team in field goal percentage, shooting 63 percent on the year. The 6-foot-9 big man has a bright future ahead of him with some backcourt prospects to play alongside him as well.
Moore was a key piece in the Cary Academy backcourt this season as he showed off his ability to score and defend in his debut on the varsity stage. He produced 14.3 PPG, 1.4 APG and 1.4 SPG while knocking down 42 3-pointers on the season. He came up big on the road with 24 points and four 3-pointers over Charlotte Country Day in a 68-58 victory. He’s a sharpshooter who knows how to get to the free throw line with his crafty ball-handling. He’s a young name to track in the 2027 class in the state of North Carolina.
Highlights
Goggins is an intriguing combo guard in the 2027 class at Berean Baptist who turned heads in the NCISAA this season with his play in the backcourt. He finished the season ranked ninth in 3-pointers made (50) while averaging 10.2 PPG and 1.4 RPG for the Bulldogs. He shot 33 percent from deep for his squad and showed he could be knocking down shots at volume from behind the arc for years to come with his 910 squad.
Highlights
Johnson-Freeman is an emerging name to know with Northside Christian Academy given his versatility and ability to shoot from deep. He’s a 6-foot-4 guard/wing who put up 8.1 PPG, 2.7 RPG and 1.0 APG on 38 percent shooting from deep. As he continues to find his role with the Knights, look for him to push NCA deeper into the NCISAA State Playoffs after falling in this past season’s state semifinals.
Jones has remained consistent in the Grace Christian backcourt as he enters his second year on varsity as a freshman.He finished second on the team in scoring (16.4 PPG) and assists (2.5 APG) along with 1.4 SPG while knocking down 43 3-pointers on the year, also second on the team. As he shores up his efficiency as a volume shooter, look for more college programs in the region to add him to their radar.
Jefferson is a versatile name to get to know over at North Raleigh Christian Academy in North Carolina’s freshman class. He’s got a bright future ahead of him after posting 14.1 PPG, 4.4 RPG, 1.7 SPG and 1.6 APG while shooting 43 percent from the field. He’s one of a few names to get to know in their rotation as the years progress given his energy defensively and length as a multi-level threat off the bounce.
Phillips is the final freshman name on the NCISAA stage to get to know out of Crossroads Christian School. He put up 12.3 PPG, 2.5 RPG, 1.9 SPG and 1.2 APG on 43 percent shooting from the floor. His 47 3-pointers made as a freshman ranked 14th across the NCISAA 1A stage this past season. He’s a versatile guard who can defend and shoot the ball with the Colts who’s got a bright future ahead of him after being part of a historic 22-6 season.
