Having a floor general like Preston will raise the ceiling for the Catamounts. During his time at Ravenscroft, he was a reliable guard that scored, facilitated and effective off the ball. Averaging nearly 10 points per game and scoring double figures 8 times throughout the year provides proof of his scoring prowess. Although the assist numbers aren’t high, his playmaking is a tool that will be utilized well in this Panther Creek system.
Preston plays at a good pace and has an excellent handle to match. The first step is quick and when finishing at the rim, he can do so with either hand. He utilizes floaters well to negate shot blockers as well as the pull up mid-range jumper. The biggest plus for Preston as a point guard is that despite having the ball a lot, his turnovers are few and far between. With his poise and the playmakers around him, the assist numbers should triple. Not to mention his defensive ability and how well he can guard the ball on a consistent basis.

One of the top 3 point shooters in the 2027 class, Moore has unlimited range, meanwhile being ultra efficient shooting an astounding 48% from beyond the arc. Moore’s shooting form features great lift on his jump shots, allowing him to shoot over defenders. His deep range gives him gravity on the court, as defenders have to extend, opening up space for teammates. Beyond his shooting ability, Moore is a plus defender, playing passing lanes and turning them into fast break opportunities. His combination of elite shooting and defensive instincts makes Moore a standout within the 2027 class.

Moore is a 5-foot-10 shooting guard who makes his debut in the 2027 rankings at No. 11 out of Cary Academy. He averaged 14.2 PPG while knocking down 42 3-pointers as a freshman on the varsity stage in the NCISAA in 2023-24. He’s a sharpshooter in the class to get eyes on after shooting 48.2 percent from behind the arc, including the playoffs. He’ll be one to watch with Grassroots North Carolina this spring/summer.

Moore was a key piece in the Cary Academy backcourt this season as he showed off his ability to score and defend in his debut on the varsity stage. He produced 14.3 PPG, 1.4 APG and 1.4 SPG while knocking down 42 3-pointers on the season. He came up big on the road with 24 points and four 3-pointers over Charlotte Country Day in a 68-58 victory. He’s a sharpshooter who knows how to get to the free throw line with his crafty ball-handling. He’s a young name to track in the 2027 class in the state of North Carolina.

Moore has been one of the top freshmen in the state, averaging 16 PPG and shooting almost 60% from beyond the arc. He’s an impact playmaker who is calm and composed beyond his years with the ball in his hands, showcasing great vision and composure to deliver the ball where it needs to be. His percentage shows he’s an outstanding shooter, one who can knock down shots off the dribble, the catch, or moving off of penetration without the ball in his hands. He’ll be a major name to watch in the central part of the state.
