Moore is a 5-foot-10 shooting guard who makes his debut in the 2027 rankings at No. 11 out of Cary Academy. He averaged 14.2 PPG while knocking down 42 3-pointers as a freshman on the varsity stage in the NCISAA in 2023-24. He’s a sharpshooter in the class to get eyes on after shooting 48.2 percent from behind the arc, including the playoffs. He’ll be one to watch with Grassroots North Carolina this spring/summer.
Highlights
Jones is a familiar face debuting at No. 12 who’s in his second year of varsity at Grace Christian School in Sanford after starring in a similar role as an eighth grader. He’s continued to raise his profile as quite the lead guard after putting up 16.2 PPG, 2.5 APG, 2.0 RPG and 1.4 SPG in his freshman season. He’s a volume-shooting presence who’s continued to develop his all-around impact in the backcourt. He’ll be a name to watch with WCBA this grassroots cycle.
Jefferson made quite the splash in his varsity debut with North Raleigh Christian Academy on the NCISAA stage as he debuts at No. 13 in the 2027 player rankings debut. He led the Knights scoring and rebounding attack this season in averaging 14.1 PPG, 4.4 RPG, 1.7 SPG and 1.6 APG on 43 percent shooting from the field. He’s a prospect who can operate in a variety of ways with his length at 6-foot-3. Keep an eye on him this grassroots cycle with Garner Road on the 3SSB stage.
Vinson is an electric guard prospect to keep an eye on over at Cannon School as he makes his debut at No. 14 in the 2027 player rankings. He’s a lead guard with impressive court vision to go along with a lethal shot on the perimeter. He’s got a bright future in the Cougars backcourt after showing flashes of his abilities this past season. He’ll suit up with TSF EYBL this spring/summer on the grassroots stage.
Rogers is a sizeable prospect to get to know in the 2027 player rankings as he makes his debut at No. 15 out of Dudley. He’s 6-foot-6, 235 pounds with a bright future on both the hardwood and football field for the Panthers. He produced 6.8 PPG, 6.6 RPG and 1.1 BPG as a freshman on varsity for their basketball squad this season as they finished third in the 3A Mid-State Conference. Look for him to be a key returning frontcourt piece in their success next season.
Plata makes his debut in the 2027 player rankings at No. 16 out of Southern Wake Academy following their run in the NCHSAA 1A State Playoffs. He led their backcourt with 7.6 PPG, 3.6 APG, 2.6 RPG and 2.2 SPG on 62 percent shooting from the field on the year. As he continues to develop his game, especially on the perimeter, he’s a prospect to keep an eye on in the class. He’ll run with Garner Road on the 3SSB stage this grassroots season.
Highlights
Loftin makes his debut at No. 17 in the 2027 player rankings following an impressive scoring display with New Life Christian Academy out of Rocky Mount. He poured in 24.1 PPG, 5.2 APG, 4.6 SPG and 3.1 RPG on 49 percent shooting from the floor and 39 percent shooting from deep in his freshman year with the Warriors. At 5-foot-10, he knows how to be an effective presence already at the lead guard role. He’s a floor general to keep early eyes on in the class this spring/summer with Team Trezz Loftin.
Adams is a guard prospect in the 2027 player rankings making his debut at No. 18 with a bright future ahead of him at Eastern Alamance. He finished second on the varsity squad on the scoring front with 12.8 PPG to go along with 3.3 RPG, 1.7 APG and 1.7 SPG on 41 percent shooting from the field and 34 percent shooting from behind the arc in his freshman year. He’s an electric 5-foot-11 guard who knows how to impact the game on both ends of the floor already.
Matthewson rounds out the Top 20 out of Martin County High. He led the Knights in more ways than one with his size/length at 6-foot-6 in averaging 16.1 PPG, 6.4 RPG, 2.9 APG, 2.1 SPG and 1.0 BPG on 53 percent shooting from the floor and 36 percent shooting from deep. He’s a versatile presence to get to know out of the 252 area as he’ll suit up with Team Trezz Loftin as well on the grassroots stage this spring/summer.
