Charles Clark | Prep Hoops Scout
In the 2024-2025 season his role was more of a three-point specialist with not too many opportunities to be able to showcase his full ability. This season he has added more levels of scoring to his game and under new leadership he has been given more responsibility. Not only has he added to his ability to score the ball but he is more than a willing passer and looks to make the correct play more times than not.

Recently he has been out recovering from a minor injury but prior to that he was huge for the BBA squad not only providing a high amount of scoring but also leadership for a team that features a high number of young players. He has always been an outstanding shooter but over the past year he has added a midrange scoring and finishing at the basket to his game.

Clearly the best player on the court in this matchup, he put on a showcase of his ability to score the ball from multiple levels, especially in the second half. He knocked down the trey ball at a good rate but also scored from midrange and got to the basket for buckets at the rim and drawn fouls. His team depends greatly on his offensive production, and his scoring was one of the reasons why they were able to make a run late in the game.

Got off to a slower start scoring wise but we loved the fact that he still found ways to stay engaged in the game by stepping into a playmaker role for his squad until he found his rhythm in the second half. He handles defensive pressure well, makes good reads, and is showing that he can be a legit Point Guard on the next level.

Goggins caught my eye last year at the 252 HoopState TipOff at Greenfield with his backcourt play with Berean Baptist. He made quite the impression at the lead guard spot as he checks in at No. 41 in the 2027 rankings debut. He averaged 19.2 PPG and 1.4 RPG on 33 percent shooting from behind the arc in his freshman season. He knocked down 50 3-pointers to finish ninth in the NCISAA 2A in 3-pointers made, according to MaxPreps. He’ll suit up with Mentality Elite on the independent scene this spring/summer.
