Goba’s growth offensively has been impressive this season. The game has slowed down so much for him. He does a great job attacking the basket and playing off two feet, calmly gathering himself to finish. Colleges need to jump in now on the two-way gamechanger.
Highlights
Garris came back from an early injury scare to produce 15 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists and 2 steals. The big guard is physical, adept at barreling to the rim and finishing in traffic. He has switchability on defense, capable of defending nearly every spot on the floor. When his three-point shot is dropping, KJ is extremely hard to corral. Southern Illinois, Kennesaw State, Old Dominion and Georgia State have all offered.
Highlights
A man amongst boys on the floor, Zay compiled 15 points, 10 rebounds, 2 assists and 1 block in a blow out of Mt. Pisgah. Entering the game averaging 11.7 points and 13.3 rebounds in the postseason, the West Georgia-signee dominated the interior with his explosive athleticism and motor.

The silky smooth southpaw took over in the fourth quarter as Paideia punched their ticket to their first-ever state title game, topping Savannah 56-39. Harper scored nine of his 17 points in the final frame to pair with his 7 rebounds, 6 assists and 2 steals. CJ made a living at the foul line, shooting 7-11 from the charity stripe. He banged home two threes in the fourth quarter and made play after play with the ball in his hands.
The freshman delivered, scoring eight points in the first half before a six-point flurry late in the fourth to put the game away. Mitchell did a great job contesting shots on defense and was able to hit tough shots himself, scoring on pull-ups and floaters against Savannah’s length. Tristan finished with 14 points, 2 rebounds, 3 assists, 1 steal and 1 block, displaying great mettle on a big stage.
The Region 3 Defensive Player of the Year did not disappoint, posting 3 points, 9 rebounds and 8 blocks. Deshawn’s length is game-altering in the paint. He changes so many shots, half the name not even needing to jump. As he adds weight to his frame, he will be able to become a more effective low block scorer.
Edwards is a workhorse underneath the basket. He plucks rebounds with both hands and is effective with his spin middle. Jermaine scores through contact and plays with a big motor. He went 6-9 from the foul line and finished with 14 points, 10 rebounds and 2 blocks.
Back from a serious elbow injury, the Montevallo-signee was a bright spot for the Patriots, scoring eight of his team-high 10 points in the third quarter. A tough baseline reverse got him started, followed by a deep top of the key three. Connolly has a robust skill set and can play either forward position.
