The primary ball handler for the Pythons turned in one of his best performances of the season, scoring 16 points while controlling stretches of the game with his poise and command. Mitchell dictated tempo with smart decision-making, consistently putting his team in the right spots offensively. He showcased his ability to make tough pull-up jumpers off the dribble, knock down open shots from beyond the arc, and finish creatively in the paint against traffic. With good quickness and an ability to change speeds effectively, he keeps defenders off balance and continues to develop into a steady floor leader.

Heady playmaker gets others involved and is a crafty scorer inside the arc. Finishes amongst the trees, hanging in the air to avoid shot blockers. Gets to his spots in the mid-range well. Doesn’t get knocked off balance, able to score through contact and protect the ball vs. pressure.

Paideia returned a lot of talent, especially in the backcourt, but Tristan Mitchell Tristan Mitchell 5'10" | PG Paideia | 2027 State GA still managed to carve out a role in the rotation and he grew better and better throughout the year. He’s skilled and crafty with his handle, able to get into the paint or create enough separation to get his shot off. Mitchell is playing with Jet Academy this spring, one of the best 15u teams in the southeast.

The freshman is fearless. He slices his way to the hoop but also distributes well and has a soft touch with his pull-up. Mitchell shot 6-9 from the field to finish with 16 points. He’s a bright young player that can really make things happen.

The freshman delivered, scoring eight points in the first half before a six-point flurry late in the fourth to put the game away. Mitchell did a great job contesting shots on defense and was able to hit tough shots himself, scoring on pull-ups and floaters against Savannah’s length. Tristan finished with 14 points, 2 rebounds, 3 assists, 1 steal and 1 block, displaying great mettle on a big stage.
