2029 Updated Rankings: New Names to Know

Here is a closer look at some of the newcomers making their debut in our updated rankings.    Wright is a versatile wing with good positional size who is at his best attacking the basket. He can get downhill off the dribble and is especially effective in transition, where he uses his size and athleticism to finish around the rim. Wright also brings value on the glass as a capable rebounder and competes on the defensive end, giving him the ability to impact the game in multiple ways.     Blake is a smart, skilled lead guard who impressed with Westminster during the GBCA Live events. He has above average quickness and a high basketball IQ, consistently showing the ability to impact the game as both a scorer and distributor. Blake is a capable three level scorer who sees the floor well and creates opportunities for teammates. A reliable decision maker, he plays with good pace and brings a steady presence to the point guard position.     Williams moves into our rankings with this update following a strong stretch of play. He is a slashing wing with good positional size and above-average athleticism who can get past defenders off the dribble and consistently attack the rim. Williams also brings good activity on the defensive end and uses his physical tools to impact the game. He is a capable rebounder from the perimeter, adding to his value as a versatile two way wing.     McGrath is a highly skilled guard with the ability to score at all three levels. He is a capable perimeter shot maker who can also create his own offense off the bounce and use his ball skills to get into the paint. McGrath has a high basketball IQ, sees the floor well and does a good job finding open teammates when the defense collapses. He also has above average foot speed and plays with good competitiveness on both ends of the floor.     Wise impressed with Hoop Atlanta throughout the summer and established himself as a skilled guard to watch in the sophomore class. He is a solid perimeter shot maker who is comfortable playing with or without the ball in his hands. Wise has a high basketball IQ, understands how to operate out of ball screen situations and is a good passer who consistently finds open teammates. His combination of shooting, feel and playmaking ability gives him the versatility to impact the game in multiple ways.
