As both teams were going into this game, they were faced with the trial of missing a key player. This meant that other players needed to step up for each team. Dylan Warlick Dylan Warlick 6'6" | SF Edmond North | 2024 State #226 Nation OK ‘s mark was left in every quarter of the game, which was reflected in the scoreboard. At the end of the 1st quarter, Edmond North led 16-10. Warlick had eight points at the time. At halftime, Warlick had 14 as his team led 26-17. Warlick continued with his dominance, as he ended the 3rd quarter with 20 points. The Huskies led 45-31 at this point and expanded it more in the 4th quarter. The final score was 68-42 with Edmond North winning.
Dylan Warlick Dylan Warlick 6’6″ | SF Edmond North | 2024 State #226 Nation OK had a great game, picking up the slack for their second leading scorer being out. He had eight points at the end of the first, sjx in the second quarter, six in the third, and then he closed it out with three more. He displayed the ability to shoot the ball by knocking down a three and showed the ability to finish through contact on drives and putbacks multiple times. One of my favorite plays by him that reflected extreme body control was when his teammate threw a bad alley-oop pass. He jumped and leaned back to grab the ball, then he contorted his body in the air and laid the ball in off of the backboard perfectly placed. He showed a great ability at not being phased by contact on drives and finishes. He had a block on a three point attempt and a couple of assists. Outside of his scoring, his rebounding was a massive area that he made an impact in. I counted 10 rebounds, with a balance of offensive and defensive rebounds. Finishing the game with a 20 point/10 rebound game is a good picture of the kind of impact that he was able to make. This is the reason why the University of Wyoming commit had other division one offers, as well.
Highlights
Dontrell Yearby Dontrell Yearby 6’2″ | CG Edmond North | 2024 State OK is a player that came into the game shooting around 45% from 3 point range on the season. Despite not scoring any points tonight, he made such an impact in other areas that I wanted to highlight it. He did a good job facilitating and playmaking for his team. He had a few assists, but he should have had more. Multiple times he had a good pass, but his teammates missed the shot. The biggest impact that he had made was his defensive impact. He was constantly fighting through screens and reading pick and rolls well. He played great perimeter defense. There was one possession that he fought through two screens and steal contested a three pointer to force the miss. It was impressive that he was able to get there. There were other times that he played great defense by reading screens and having the effort to get through them. It was a great game for him in regards to his defense and playmaking.
Bryce Potts Bryce Potts 6’7″ | PF Edmond North | 2024 State OK made an impact in a couple of different ways. He finished with 13 points and his points came from free throws, scoring inside, and a mid-range jumper. He grabbed several rebounds, including offense rebounds. On one of his offensive rebounds, he went back up for the putback and drew the foul. This led to him going 2/2 from the free throw line. One of my favorite plays for him was simple, good basketball. He fought to get positioning, where he received the entry pass. This resulted in him finishing over the smaller defender. It was a great play from him. He was able to get a dunk during the game and also finished through two defenders with the foul. He missed the free-throw, but was able to show assertiveness to make a difference using his size. It was a good game for him in more than one area.
Anthony Leonard Anthony Leonard 6’2″ | CG Putnam City North | 2025 State OK led the Panthers in scoring with 17 points, knocking down a pair of three pointers on his way. There were a few times that he showed off his handles, in one instance he had a nice crossover that lost the defender as he stepped back to drain the mid-range jumper. He grabbed around 4-5 rebounds in the duration of the game, in which he would push the pace. This led to him having a good drive and kick to an open shooter. The shooter missed it, but it showed a glimpse of being able to playmake. On one play, he drove the gap and finished through contact for an and-one opportunity. He got the job done on defense some, playing good perimeter defense and coming away with a couple of steals. One of the steals led to an assist for him. It was a strong performance against the top team in the state.

A few times he drove the gap and finished in traffic. On the other side of the court, he was able to come away with two steals. One of them led to him finishing with a dunk in transition. The other time he was able to draw the foul. It was a solid game for him on both ends of the court.
