Around the State: 5 NCHSAA Unbeaten Teams Remain

Four 20-win teams remain unbeaten heading into the month of February while the final squad is a team that lost just once in 2022-23 in the state title game. There are teams lurking on all but the 1A classification that remain unbeaten on the year, two are in 3A, two are in 4A and one is in 2A. They overcame a big deficit on the road against Panther Creek and outscored them 11-2 down the stretch to secure a 61-57 victory. They've got a tough North Iredell squad on the road on Tuesday followed by West Iredell on Friday. Billings put up a season-high 22 points on 9/9 FG in a victory over Kinston back on Jan. 27. Allen is dishing out a team-high 5.3 assists per game while pouring in 17.2 PPG on the scoring front.
