Chase’s twin brother Carson also had himself a fitting end to his Central Cabarrus career. Daniel was also a major element in the winning formula for the Vikings as he placed 13 points on the board en route to Central going back-to-back. He will also head to Catawba for the college game as will Chase. Carson helped his team out greatly from behind the 3-point line as a pair of triples were part of his overall offensive performance. The 6-foot-1 guard has also made major strides over the years as a ball distributor. The Daniel Duo has poised themselves for success at the next level.

Both Daniel brothers played excellently this weekend, but Carson had a flawless night Friday. His playmaking, dogged defense on many guys bigger than him, and overall leadership were highlights of the game, as well as the passion and emotion he played with. Catawba is getting two great players, and I’m excited to see how many games they can win the rest of the year together.

Both of the Daniel brothers have been excellent facilitators to start the year, with CC beating the brakes off teams and allowing them to initiate the offense. Carson has taken care of the ball well, with 7.6 APG through 5 games, but an astounding AST/TO ratio of 19. Catawba has gotten a steal in both of them, and the dynamic duo will look to take their scoring and playmaking to the collegiate level.

The Daniel twins have been on the PrepHoops radar for a long time since they popped onto the grassroots scene with CC Elite and now BSA Elite to end their careers. They’re a headache on both ends of the floor given their knack for operating in the backcourt as a top tandem in the state. They led Central Cabrrus High to 32-0 record in 2022-23 capped off by a 3A NCHSAA State title against UNC commit Drake Powell and Northwood High in last year’s final. They’ll look to make it back to back state titles to close out their high school careers as they should contend for a state title once again in 2023-24.

Carson has the facilitating to Chase’s scoring for Central Cabarrus this year, as he’ll be entrusted to lead the point and run the CC offense. He’s talented with his vision and general unselfish attitude, always looking to make the next pass and set up his teammate as he showed during the AAU season. Defensively plays bigger than his size and is constantly looking to hustle and poke the ball away from you. These twins should have incredible senior seasons for CC.
