2023 stats: 19.3 ppg – 4.1 rebounds – 2.8 steals The rising 6-0 sophomore guard prospect has gotten off to a hot start in his first season with North Fort Myers as he’s leading the team in points per game. He also has an impressive steal output, averaging nearly 3.0 per game on the defensive end. Newson is a crafty guard that can get by defenders with good ball handles and head fakes where he can finish near the rim or dish it off to open teammates. What separates small guards is the ability to control the rock/offense and provide solid defense. Checks both boxes.

2023 stats: 13.0 PPG – 2.5 rebounds – 2.6 assists
Beezer is doing all he can on the court to put his name on the map. He had a solid stat line to help push Cypress Creek over the edge for a win against Horizon High. Beezer finished the night with 22 point and 5 assists. Just shows the game is starting the slow down for the sophomore who showed off his decent jump shot and overall scoring ability. Got to keep eyes on this young riser.
2023 stats: 14.2 PPG – 5.1 rebounds – 3.1 assists
Kirk is a must-watch rising guard prospect who has made some noise in Mainland’s last couple matchups with his impressive scoring output. The 6-0 sophomore riser is a shifty point guard who has found himself leading this squad after a productive season a year ago. He has the Buccaneers on a 9-3 run with a tough loss on Friday. No doubt, this kid is electric with the basketball in his hands. Can score the rock or initiate the offense with developing floor general tendencies.
2023 stats: 16.5 PPG – 10.3 rebounds – 7.4 assists – 4.4 blocks
Talk about a stat sheet stuffer. This kid is having an incredible production year where he’s leading the team in almost every major stat category. The 6-7 sophomore wing product has all the tools to develop into a Real Deal Division I prospect. He currently holds a single D1 offer from Jacksonville University. Brutus is a solid frame forward with developing ball skills on the offensive side and can rim protect well on the defensive end.

Talk about being slept-on and under the radar. College coaches, this kid is 6-7 versatile basketball player that has shown development from year one to now. Not sure how these types of kids continue to not be recruited by smaller schools in the backyard. Thomas is an athletic ball player with a developing jump shot and a long frame coaches can work with. Plenty of time to add weight to his frame but doesn’t play soft now anyway. Going to keep my eyes on his progression to provide updates for readers and coaches.
