Let’s take a look at the top shooting guards in this latest rankings update. This does not include any players who were in the top 10 in the class.
Xavier is another player whose ranking is currently based on his long term potential as opposed to his current production. Cosby has the size and skill set that you look for in a big shooting guard. Suffering through inconsistent playing time at Manual this season, Xavier is going to have a big spring and summer ahead.

Jackson is a high volume scorer on an East Ridge roster that needs him to be great to have a chance to win. Keene will be easier to evaluate in an AAU setting when he’s not forced to carry a massive burden on offense. East Ridge also has a super back loaded schedule that will keep Keene busy, playing 20 games in 32 days starting next week.

Purely a shooter, Rawlings is averaging 5 threes attempted to every two pointer. The impressive thing is he’s capitalizing on that by making 39% from downtown. Jordan has gotten a much bigger role this season for a North Laurel team that is in rebuilding mode and Rawlings has been taking advantage with a big season.
Mardis is having a big season and is close to joining the 50/40/90 club as he’s shooting 45/39/85 and averaging 18 points per game for a LaRue County that is firmly in the mix to win the 5th region. Jagger is one of the higher scoring Sophomores in the state and his numbers will only go up in the next couple of seasons.
Bray is overlooked at Lyon County because of the Senior heavy roster but he will be next up there after graduation. Kirk is highly efficient as a slasher and creator with the ball in his hands and rebounds well for a big guard. He could shoot way up the rankings list by this time next year after he gets to play with the ball in his hands all the time.
