A capable shooter at 37% from three, Jalen launched threes at a 2 to 1 rate compared to his two point attempts. Shooting 43% from deep and making 2.5 per game, Jalen is thriving individually but will need to continue to do more as his team is struggling to score outside of Gribbins and Keaton Hord.

Gribbins is an elite shooter in catch and shoot scenarios. His next step is to get more comfortable attacking off the dribble. As a freshman, he barely even attempted two point shots. As a Sophomore, Jalen will need to show he can do more or schools will sit on him as a shooter and not worry about his dribbling.

Gribbins shot the cover off the ball in my first time seeing him play. Jalen has good size and a quick trigger on his jumper. He’s going to have to get better off the dribble to work his way up to the scholarship level but the 6’2 guard has a good build and was willing to play defense in a camp setting, which is rare.

Primarily a 3 and D wing at this point in his development, Gribbins is part of a really talented core of 2026 players for the Cardinals. Jalen will need to refine the other aspects of his game in order to become a more well rounded prospect. But he does play hard and has good positional size at a young age. Keep an eye on Gribbins and his development at Taylor County.
