It is time to recap this week and look at what our exciting prospects did. Here are the player evaluations from a few of the prospects that I saw in Week 4 of the 2023-24 season.
Blackhawk Christian: vs Heritage (12/12)
Pickett was the highest touted player on the floor here and was a mismatch problem many times. Scored mostly around the rim and was pretty much unstoppable there. His jumper was very off this game and there was not much fluidity to it. Also felt he was just a little lackadaisical at times on both ends. Nonetheless, you cannot question his talent when he is locked in and he still remains surprisingly under-recruited even though he is one of the top prospects in the state.
Smith is a long guard at 6’6 and provides a very good wing option for Fort Wayne Blackhawk. His a nice pull up three but was not ass consistent shooting behind the arc when I watched him. Really like his quick trigger and ability to get a shot up at any time. On the defensive end, he really competes.
Highlights
Bryce Sefton – 6’4 G 2025:
The junior guard for the Braves played very aggressive here vs Heritage. He showed that he was a good rebounding and passing guard with a high motor on both ends of the floor. He attacked extremely hard from the perimeter and even showed his outside game a little bit here. Really like the potential he brings to Fort Wayne Blackhawk.
Heritage: at Blackhawk Christian (12/12)
Lybarger was probably the best guard from Hertiage this game. Has grew a lot since the last time we saw him as a freshman and had such a great motor throughout. Hit some deep threes and was real scrappy on the defensive end. Athletic as well.
Highlights
Bishop Chatard: vs George Washington (12/13)
What I immediately noticed about the 6’0 sophomore guard was how much size and maturity his body added over the past year. While he missed a few jumpers to start out the game, the 2Q saw him really get his offense going hitting those TOUGH mid-range jumpers we are so used to seeing him do. He is a guard that can play both on and off the ball however there were a few times the ball would stick with him which would lead him to being caught up in traffic. I think the next step in his development is to learn how to play with pace, while maintaining his explosiveness and high motor.
Moore is a shorter guard that sneaky quick at times. He pairs so well with Roseman as both of them can play on and off the ball at a good rate and be a problem in the backcourt for opposite defenders. Was impressed with his smooth shooting ability and how well he can create his own look. Thought he had some good IQ on both ends and made the game winning steal to Bishop Chatard the win.
Guy was a big spark for the Trojans in this game. Played extremely hard on both ends of the floor and hit a smooth baseline jumper. Another Bishop Chatard guard that can play both on and off the ball at a high level. Really like how he competed on the defensive end, as well. A guy that you can trust on the floor to compete and help win a game.
George Washington: at Bishop Chatard (12/13)
While his lack of mobility really limits him, I thought he did an extremely good job of exploiting the mismatch and knowing when to get in the post-up position. Once posted up, he would either use his height to score over a defender or make good passes to the slashers. He impacted the game so much when he was on the floor especially on the defensive end because Bishop Chatard did not attack as much. Can’t teach Butler’s size and as long as he plays his hardest and impacts the areas where he can, he will always be a problem for any opposing team.
Greenfield-Central: vs Yorktown (12/15)
Mullins was doing Mullins things out there. Scored in bunches like he always does at three levels and had a game high 24-points on the night. Really liked how he worked off the ball this game and how well he would get off his defender to create a look. Also attacked the basket very hard on the ball and scored through contact. An underrated part of his game is his passing ability as he had multiple, sharp assists on the night. Mullins just looks better and better each time I see him.

Yorktown: at Greenfield-Central (12/15)
Tewari had his struggles in this game but also showed some flashes as well. With his struggles, though he played a little timid on the floor and really got flustered when the double-team came. The good part of Tewari this game was that he hit some nice threes especially from the corner and pull-up on the wing. Really like his his stronger, longer size at the lead guard potion as well.
