Julius Olanrewaju
Julius Olanrewaju
He brings a good offensive skill set for the wing position, good size and strength. He doesn’t try to do too much, he plays on balance. A lot of what he does comes within the flow of the game, he seems to know when to assert himself. He’s a bit streaky from the 3pt line but can knock one down in the crunch, he has a mid-range jumper. He’s a solid body, he moves okay to defend on the perimeter, and guard bigger players in the post. He’ll get his rebounds, handle and work along the perimeter. He’ll pass and finish in transition. He was an All-Tournament selection.
Dre Davis
Dre Davis
Davis is a big body, he’s not fast, but does get things done using his size, playing with balance along with patience. He’ll get most of his points inside because of his size and strength going up off two in the paint. He has a good touch in the post, he’ll hit the paint jumper, work from the high and mid-post, he’s a good passer. He can hit the elbow jumper and a 3ptr at times. He’ll put it on the floor for a dribble or two. He has some post presence on defense. He’s a double double guy at this level.
Parker Spees
Parker Spees
He’s a long prospect with a good upside. He’s active in and around the post area on both sides of the court, and gives this team an extra big to play with. With his length he has some presence on the defense to go after blocks, and rebounds. He’ll shoot a 3 from the top if it’s there. He can work from the high and mid-post, using a dribble or two to get closer, he made hard cuts to the basket to finish strong at the rim. He can be a target in the post.
Braden Harris
Braden Harris
He’s an active prospect with good fundamentals for the post. His foot work will get better, he has good balance playing off two feet, planting and cutting. He has a jump hook along with length he uses to get his shot off. He’ll use a dribble or two from the mid-post to back down, and hit the turnaround jumper. He passes well from the high post finding baseline cutters, he’ll take the elbow jumper.
Arthur Grady Jr.
Arthur Grady Jr.
Grady Jr. is making good progress and will help his team in the post on both ends of the court as long as he’s locked in. He was an All-Tournament selection. He was aggressive playing with a chip on his shoulder in the post. He went up strong off two to finish in the post playing through contact. He has the body to handle the bumping and banging to go after rebounds.
As the season goes he’s starting to show he can be a factor working in the post area. He’s getting more rebounds, mostly on the offensive side moving bodies and taking it back up strong to get his points in the paint. On this team he’s a moving target in the post slashing and cutting from the high post and baseline. He’s a good rebounder, sets solid screens to free up shooters, and he rolls to the basket. He has the body and strength to defend in the post.
He’s filled his frame since the last time we saw him. He’s more active and physical with some paint presence on the defensive side of the ball. He’s hauling in rebounds at a good rate, using his body and balance to score inside. His improved ball handling allows him to take it strong to the basket from the baseline and perimeter. He’s a triple threat from the high post passing, dribbling to attack and hitting the free throw jumper.
