He has a good upside, square shoulders and continues to build his frame. He’s a good post defender with the body to stand his ground. He has improved his fundamental skill set. He’s an excellent passer. He has good movement looking to hit the short jumper, and score inside. He’s shown he can step out to hit an occasional 3ptr. He’s a good size target in the post area.

At 6’6 he’s a growing body. He’s showing a bit of an inside/out game. He’s getting things done in the paint with decent foot work, and lengthy arm to finish at the rim including dunks, and gathering rebounds. He works well from the high and mid-post passing, using a dribble or to to get closer. He’ll hit a 3 from the top. He could be a double, double guy at this level.

He’s filled his frame since the last time we saw him. He’s more active and physical with some paint presence on the defensive side of the ball. He’s hauling in rebounds at a good rate, using his body and balance to score inside. His improved ball handling allows him to take it strong to the basket from the baseline and perimeter. He’s a triple threat from the high post passing, dribbling to attack and hitting the free throw jumper.

We hadn’t seen Roberts for a while, until the scrimmage. He’s expanded his skill set, filled his frame a bit. Standing 6’6 with square shoulders he has good fundamentals. He’s a triple threat from the high post with good passing to shooters, finding cutters to the basket, he can hit the free throw jump shot, and use a hard dribble or two with balance to get it to the rim for shot opportunities. He’s a rebounder, and will help defend in the post.
