North Port at Charlotte (Punta Gorda)

This Southwest Florida matchup is intriguing in a lot of ways, as 6-7 senior forward [player_tooltip player_id='1579760' first='Elijah' last='Lubsey'] leads the North Port Bobcats (4-0) into a rivalry territory where they will be taking on a scrappy Charlotte Tarpons (1-0) squad. The Tarpons have received key contributions from 5-9 junior guard [player_tooltip player_id='1579754' first='Jah' last='Chin'], 6-8 junior power forward [player_tooltip player_id='1579753' first='Jordan' last='Taylor'] and 6-5 senior wing [player_tooltip player_id='1055718' first='Chris' last='Cornish'] as all three players have huge upsides and could become college level prospects.

Holy Trinity Episcopal at Eau Gallie

The Holy Trinity Episcopal Tigers (1-0) are coming off a 64-57 win over Bilingual Christian Academy to kick-off the season where they got a big-time performance from 6-2 freshman guard [player_tooltip player_id='2194364' first='Martay' last='Barnes']. Another name to keep an eye on in this matchup will be 5-10 senior point guard [player_tooltip player_id='1163406' first='Elijah' last='Reynolds'] who is an absolute disruptor on the defensive end of the floor, playing with good energy. On the other side for the Eau Gallie Commodores keep an eye on 6-0 junior point guard Jay Latson who led the team in points per game last season, averaging nearly 16 points per game.

True North Classical at Riviera Prep

The True North Classical Titans (0-1) are coming off a 59-52 loss to Boyd Anderson to kickoff the season, as they got key contributions from 5-10 sophomore point guard Boosie Swan who led the team with 17 points, nine rebounds and five assists in the season-opening loss. On the other side, The Riviera Prep Bulldogs (2-1) appear to be the favorites in Class 3A again this season are coming off a 1-1 weekend at the Hoopsgiving Classic in Dallas last weekend. Keep an eye on 6-4 junior wing [player_tooltip player_id='1301788' first='Dante' last='Allen'], 6-8 freshman forward [player_tooltip player_id='2194837' first='Jeremy' last='Jenkins'], 6-2 sophomore guard [player_tooltip player_id='1660033' first='Mason' last='Fuentes'] and 6-1 freshman guard [player_tooltip player_id='2294486' first='Myles' last='Fuentes'] who can score in bunches when left uncovered.

Rickards at Maclay

The Rickards Raiders (3-0) have received wins over Marianna, Nease and Raines to get the season started where they have picked up huge contributions from 6-2 senior guard Randall Pompey, 6-5 sophomore wing Calvin Thomas and 6-5 junior combo guard [player_tooltip player_id='2554773' first='BJ' last='Plummer'] on the young season as they all three are averaging in double figures. On the other side, The Maclay Marauders are tipping off the start of their 2023-2024 season where they will look to replace 6-6 wing Blaise Wallace who graduated after last season. Keep an eye on 6-4 junior wing Ryder Marks who can score on all three levels without hesitation as well as 6-2 junior guard Avery Coffin who can make impact plays around the rim with his athleticism.

Jones (Orlando) at Windermere

The Jones' Fightin Tigers (1-3) have gotten off to a slow start to the 2023-2024 season, but were missing some key contributors as they were still playing in the FHSAA Football Playoffs. Keep an eye on 6-4 junior wing [player_tooltip player_id='1457199' first='Keishaun' last='Robinson'] in this matchup for Jones as he doesn't force many mistakes on the offensive end and makes the right reads on whether to shoot versus pass the ball. He also plays with a load of energy on the defensive side of the floor. On the other side, The Windermere Wolverines (1-0) retain 6-4 senior wing [player_tooltip player_id='1306090' first='Chalier' last='Torres'] who has continued to improve his game from the perimeter. Also keep an eye on 6-2 sophomore guard [player_tooltip player_id='1696238' first='Nathan' last='Earl'] who is the true definition of a distributor on the offensive end, and watch out for 6-8 junior power forward [player_tooltip player_id='2145510' first='TJ' last='Drain'] who has elusive footwork and can punish smaller defenders when on the attack.
