Charlotte’s big man has carried his strong offseason performances into the 2024-25 season. A dominant two-way player, Taylor rebounds exceptionally well on both ends of the floor, is quick off his feet, and runs the floor effortlessly for transition finishes above the rim. Defensively, his length and athleticism allow him to guard multiple positions and make it tough for opponents to shoot over him.

Charlotte’s big man had himself quite the summer and looks to roll that right over into the 2024-25 season. Taylor is a tremendous 2-way player who rebounds the ball very well on both ends of the court. He is quick off the floor and has the ability to run the floor and finish above the rim in transition. Defensively, his athleticism allows him to guard multiple positions and his length makes it very difficult to shoot over the top. Taylor looks to be a major part of the Tarpon’s success this season, where he will be looked upon for his scoring and leadership. He picked up a couple offers over the summer and should continue to garner interest as he will be a key piece for Charlotte this upcoming season.

Charlotte’s big man, is a great compliment to their strong guard play. Taylor is a 6’7″ prospect with great athleticism and a strong, solid frame. He is a skilled big with a soft touch that can beat you multiple ways. He’s a strong kid who can finish at the rim with both hands, and can also keep the defense honest with a nice little mid-range game. Taylor is a tremendous rebounder on both ends of the floor and his athleticism allows him to guard multiple positions on defense. He is great in the transition game where he likes to get out and run and play above the rim. Taylor will be fun to watch this summer as he builds on his game in hopes of making it back to the Final Four.

The junior forward has been a key piece for this Tarpons squad all season long. Charlotte has some tremendous guard play, but Taylor has been a great compliment to that every time he touches the floor. The 6’7″ prospect is a great rebounder on both ends of the court and is a smart player who plays great transition basketball. He recorded double-digit rebounds in both of the Tarpons postseason wins, which included a 13 point, 13 rebound performance in the Championship victory over Fort Myers. Look for Taylor to be a key part in Charlotte’s hopes of a deep postseason run in 2024.

Jordan Taylor, A 6-7 junior wing who is quickly emerging as one of the top prospects I’ve seen. He has improved his game across all levels as he is shooting from the mid-range with more confidence as well as finishing around the rim. He does a great job at catching lobs around the rim in transition as well as in the half-court. Taylor’s game has also improved from the free throw line where he shot 60 percent last season. The next step in his game will be to build more confidence from the perimeter. He’s also an active rebounder on both ends of the floor.

The 6-7 sophomore wing continues to develop as one of the best wings in the Southwest Florida area. Taylor finished with a double-double (13 points and 11 rebounds) for SWFL Hoops 2025 in their win over Filling The Lane. Taylor is one of the strongest finishers around the rim and can also battle on the boards with anybody. Huge upside for Taylor as he gears up for his junior season.

The 6-7 forward is a bucket getter as well as a rebounding machine. Taylor has size, length and great athleticism where he can play multiple positions. On the defensive end he has great footwork and body placement where he is in position to block shots or get rebounds when needed. He will be playing with SWFL Hoops Inc. as we gear into the Grassroots season.

Sleeper Prospect: Jordan “JT” Taylor 6-7 PF (2025)
Taylor has the size and the length to be one of the best sophomores in the state, now it all comes down to his confidence level. The 6-7 wing shined at the FABC Showcase over the summer where he was a force in the paint. Taylor is going to continue to get better and stronger, so be on the lookout as he enters his sophomore season.
