6. Cincinnati Wyoming
One of the younger teams on this list, this team is led by a 2026 guard trio of Kellen Wiley Kellen Wiley 6'1" | PG Cincinnati Wyoming | 2026 State OH , Darren Gray Darren Gray 5'11" | PG Cincinnati Wyoming | 2026 OH and Devin Evans. With these three maturing and ready to lead the team, I expect Wyoming to again be at the top of the Cincinnati Hills League.
7. Columbus Bishop Hartley
Another one of the younger teams in the top 10 list from any Division, this is the year I expect Hartley to make a deep playoff run. The Calloway twins will lead them from the guard position and Pharez Nicholas Pharez Nicholas 6'4" | PF Bishop Hartley | 2025 State OH is an athletic forward who fits in with their aggressive defensive style. The Columbus Catholic League will be a grind this year but Hartley have the pieces to win the conference title and make a push to Dayton.
8. Columbus Bishop Ready
After an unbeaten regular season and a final four appearance, Bishop Ready says goodbye to their great 2023 senior class. They have some players who are hungry to show they can also contribute to winning basketball with senior guards Micah Germany Micah Germany 6'1" | CG Bishop Ready | 2024 State OH , Andreas Gordan and Josh Paul. Kayden Schaffer Kayden Schaffer 6'3" | SF Bishop Ready | 2025 State OH is a breakout candidate as a Junior and Uthman Sherif Uthman Sherif 6'4" | C Bishop Ready | 2026 OH will command the paint. This team still has the talent to be one of the best in Division II this season.
9. Toledo Central Catholic
The transfer of Makhi Leach Makhi Leach 6'2" | SG Toledo Whitmer | 2025 State OH hurts but I think Manny Johnson Manny Johnson 6'2" | CG Toledo Central Catholic | 2026 State OH is going to have a huge breakout season and establish himself as one of the best players in the Toledo area this winter. Combine that with star freshman Isaiah Mack Russell and senior Isaiah Brenneman Isaiah Brenneman 6'3" | SG Toledo Central Catholic | 2024 State OH and the Irish won’t be an easy out. Playing a tough schedule will also have them ready come playoff time, a team to watch in Division II.
10. Cleveland Glenville
After winning back-to-back district championships, Glenville again should be one of the top Division II teams in northeast Ohio. Always one of the most athletic teams in the state, the Tarblooders usually have a couple football prospects competing on the hardwood. Sophomore guard Theo Castro Theo Castro 5'9" | PG Cleveland Glenville | 2026 State OH is a returning starter who will play a major role while Lorenzo Staley Lorenzo Staley 6'7" | C Cleveland Glenville | 2025 State OH provides nice size in the paint.
