We're releasing our OHSAA Preseason Top 10 Rankings in Division I this week and we've finally made it to the top 10. We previewed our watchlist teams from each area of the state, Northeast, Northwest, Central and Southwest. Let's get started with our top 10.

10. Mentor

Mentor had an up and down season last year but return a nice core and have a lot of returning talent to build with this winter. [player_tooltip player_id='1373984' first='Ian' last='Ioppolo'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1493743' first='Matt' last='Biddell'] are the headliners, committed to GMAC powers in Findlay and Walsh respectively. Juniors [player_tooltip player_id='2042514' first='Ryan' last='Calo'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1952006' first='Kobe' last='Frasure-Azzano'] are also potential breakout stars for the Cardinals.

9. Archbishop Hoban

After shocking the state with a state championship run last season, Hoban is back with a very talented squad to try and repeat. Jonas Nicholas is committed to Kent State and he's joined by transfer guard [player_tooltip player_id='1506017' first='Kenny' last='Scott'] from Canton GlenOak. While some talented seniors graduated, [player_tooltip player_id='1773220' first='Sam' last='Greer'] is still the man in the middle for the Knights. Greer and a few other multi-sport athletes are looking to take home a football state championship before getting their season started on the hardwood.

8. Reynoldsburg

One of the younger teams on this list, Reynoldsburg is a year older than last season and poised to make some noise in central Ohio. Their 2025 duo of [player_tooltip player_id='1432017' first='Jordan' last='Fisher'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1432037' first='Toby' last='Nwokolo'] both made impressive strides during the summer. Combine that with a 2026 duo of [player_tooltip player_id='1705958' first='Jorden' last='Bowens'] and Pickerington Central transfer [player_tooltip player_id='1705956' first='Xavier' last='McKinney'] and the Raiders have four prospects with Division I offers. But don't forget about their seniors who could be the glue to this team in [player_tooltip player_id='1476382' first='Noah' last='Smith'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1972339' first='Se'Ron' last='Calloway-White']. This team will play some very talented teams that will give them the chance to prove if they are for real or not.

7. Archbishop Moeller

The Crusaders are loaded once again and have a lot of talent on their roster this season. [player_tooltip player_id='1688316' first='Eric' last='Mahaffey'] is committed to Akron and had one of the biggest blowups in the region this summer. Aj McBride is committed to Niagara and while he is currently injured, there's optimism around him coming back this season to help make a late season push. Combine that with [player_tooltip player_id='1432033' first='Kingston' last='Land'], one of the more naturally talented 2025 wing forwards in the Midwest and they have the high-end talent you need to compete at the highest levels. Moeller also has a couple seniors who will contribute to winning basketball games in [player_tooltip player_id='1068241' first='Kyle' last='Havens'] and [player_tooltip player_id='2023893' first='Noah' last='George']. If this team can consistently make shots from the outside, they will be tough to beat on a nightly basis.
