As a thank you to all of the readers, in honor of you all sticking with me for all 1700, I’m going to give you 10 elite shooters in the state of Michigan.
Smythe has been a shooter since the day he stepped into high school. 4 years later, he’s one of the best in the state. The best part about Smythe’s shooting is probably the fact that he’s a high IQ shooter that recognizes high percentage shots.

I want to start by saying that Yeager is NOT only a shooter. He’s in fact one of the best all around lead guards in the state. That being said, he has to be on this list. Yeager is one of the best pure shooters I’ve ever seen in the state. Maybe THE best. He can absolutely catch fire from deep.
Highlights
Yeager’s top competition for the best shooter might come from the same household. Similarly, Donny is way more than just a shooter, but that doesn’t mean he can’t fill it up with the best. If you step off him, he can and will make you pay.

I’m going to put Habhab in here as a little bit of a wrinkle. He’s a floor stretching power forward that’s a huge threat from behind the arc. He reminds me a ton of Hutch Ward from “The Hutch Ward Explosion”. This year we might see the next “Explosion” with Habhab’s shooting and ability to attack and finish above the rim.
McLavish Jr. made a splash with his shooting the minute that he put on a high school basketball jersey. He’s an explosive shooter that can take over a game when he gets in his groove. If you want to see elite 3 point shooting, McLavish Jr. has to be on your must see list.

I’m thoroughly convinced that Westerdale doesn’t get the publicity that he deserves. The young man is a bona fide shooter and scorer. He can pull up and hit a 3 while on the move thanks to his terrific shooting balance.
Highlights
James really made a splash through the summer and the fall. The young man has earned his way to the table of top shooters in Michigan. He’s just so steady with his shot. James is consistent with his form and can hit athletic jumpers.
Highlights
I’ll start by saying that Pleyer will be one of the top 2 way guards you’ll watch this season. However, for the purpose of this article, he can shoot the lights out. Not many people were able to see what an elite player, including an elite shooter, that Pleyer truly is. This season, you’ll see for sure.
Highlights
Taylor is a player that seems ready for a breakout season. He’s a steady shooting lead guard that can shoot with 3 point range. Taylor showed his ability to handle and shoot and be a multi faceted threat with the Stampede last summer.
