Eric Wallace | Prep Hoops Scout
Another unsigned, high-academic senior guard, Pleyer scored in double figures in all three games for The Rock, providing consistent offensive production throughout the event. He is a sharp-shooting scoring wing with a high basketball IQ, capable of stretching the floor and making smart decisions with the ball. Pleyer also shows the ability to serve as a secondary ball handler and can create his own offense off the bounce when needed. The Michigan native is proving he is more than just a shot maker from The Rock School this season. Pleyer has taken over more of the playmaking responsibilities this season and has displayed his court vision and passing ability. Combine that with above average athleticism and he projects as a scoring guard and a secondary decision maker at the scholarship level next season.

This clip kind of sums it up – There’s not much that Pleyer can’t. Take a rebound coast to coast? On here. Control the ball and manipulate defenders? Seen it. Fire away from beyond the arc? Yeah, that’s here too. Pleyer apparently made a huge statement at Run N’ Slam.

Pleyer’s shot looked big game ready at Rumble In The Rapids. He was able to find space and connect from corner to wing.

Nothing fancy, just good old fashioned strong base and arms wide stops. Pleyer has gained a lot of strength in the last year and he showed that he’s learned how to use it.

Enjoy seeing Pleyer in Michigan this summer because he’ll be headed to The Rock in Florida come this fall. This is a young man that has graced more showcase events that I’ve scouted than fingers on my hands. He can be seen with the GR Storm 17u UAA team this weekend. Pleyer is a solid overall athlete with an A+ game between the ears to go with it.

I cheated a little on this one. Pleyer just announced that he will be transferring to Rock Prep in Florida, so I guess not technically a Michigan player, but whatever, he’s Michigan to us still. It sounds like Pleyer did a nice job working and shooting off the bounce and showing that he can create with his handles.

Legends are earned and Pleyer is well on his way to earning his legendary status. He torched the nets off the bounce on his way to 34 points. And Pleyer crossed the 1000 point mark for good measure.

Pleyer did Pleyer things last night in a win against Dowagiac. He was just too shifty and tough to stop. Pleyer had an impressive stat line with 31 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists and 2 steals.
