Eric Wallace | Prep Hoops Scout
One of the state’s top unsigned seniors, Harvey has put together an impressive last 5–6 weeks for The Rock, and that strong play carried over to the MAIT. The senior averaged nearly 18 points per game, scoring in a variety of ways and consistently impacting winning. An above-average athlete, he excels at getting downhill and finishing through contact, putting consistent pressure on the rim. Harvey’s perimeter shot-making has taken a noticeable step forward this season, making him a more complete and difficult cover. On the defensive end, he brings value with his physicality and activity, capable of guarding multiple positions and making plays on the ball. With his recent surge and two-way impact, Harvey continues to strengthen his case as a late addition who can help a program immediately.

Harvey has shown off elite athleticism to explode near the rim where he’s been a problem with plenty of time to add strength and jumping power. Harvey has the composure and pace of a guard who has been playing for decades. His jump shot looks effortless. Range all over the court. His defensive skills though are the highlight of his game. His active hands lead to steals and frequent fast break opportunities for himself and teammates that run with him.
Harvey also plays the game looking for his teammates as a lead guard. He can certainly make the flashy passes when the window is there, but more frequently is able to find his teammates who are cutting through the lane or finding open space beyond the arc for a clean look.
