Eric Wallace | Prep Hoops Scout
The Michigan commit didn’t have his most prolific scoring stretch over three games at Montverde, but he showcased his growth as a versatile guard. Hartman averaged over five assists per game, highlighting improved ball skills, vision, and playmaking ability. He also showed continued progress as a driver and finisher in the paint, creating opportunities for both himself and his teammates. Even when the shots weren’t falling at a high rate, his ability to impact the game in multiple ways stood out and bodes well for his transition to the college level.

The Michigan signee finished with an efficient 15 points in a day-one win for the Lions, once again showcasing his value beyond the box score. The senior is a reliable shot-maker with range, plays with a high basketball IQ, and can serve as a secondary ball handler and decision-maker. He has continued to improve as a playmaker and is instinctive and engaged on the defensive end of the floor.

is a 6’6 combo guard who can dial it on offense. He’s always in attack mode and has a quick first step. The 2026 prospect can score off the drive and with his jumper. He’s in more of an off ball role with The Rock but you can see the playmaking chops in drive and kick situations.

Joseph Hartman, A 6-5 sophomore guard does a sensational job at applying pressure on defenses with his ability to create for himself as well as his teammates. On the offensive end, he is explosive when it comes to finishing around the rim through contact. He also adds a ton of physicality on the defensive end where he doesn’t let you get an easy look at the basket using his athleticism to challenge shots. He currently holds an offer from Nebraska-Omaha but don’t expect that to be his only offer, as his recruitment process is just getting started.

A 6-5 sophomore guard plays the right way with and without the basketball in his hands, as I’ve been high on him since his freshman season started. Hartman has a smooth release on his jump shot where he can knock it down from either the mid-range or from the perimeter. Hartman currently holds offers from Charlotte, Jacksonville, Omaha, Penn State, Saint Louis and Wichita State. He is a poised point guard who has the chance to be a real special prospect for the next three years.
