Eric Wallace | Prep Hoops Scout
Westercamp turned in one of his best performances of the season, scoring 17 points and knocking down five three-pointers in The Rock’s win over The New School (AR). The FGCU signee showcased how his skill set translates to the next level, operating as a stretch four with consistent perimeter shot-making. He plays with a good feel for the game, and with continued physical development, he has a chance to contribute early in his career for the Eagles.

FGCU Commit
The 6-9 forward has made clear strides in his development, and FGCU is betting on his upside. Westercamp can score inside with touch and footwork while also stepping out on the perimeter to stretch defenses. His rim protection and rebounding make him a well-rounded addition to the Eagles’ frontcourt.

Westercamp is coming into his own as a 6-9 power forward who can stretch the floor and score in the paint. His improved footwork has made him a more effective post player, while his length allows him to alter shots and control the glass defensively. As he continues to refine his game—especially in rebounding and anchoring the defense—expect his recruitment to heat up.

Westercamp’s inside-out game continues to impress. The 6-6 wing has shown improvement in his footwork and ability to cover ground on both ends. (*22 points and 16 rebounds vs. Father Lopez). His smooth scoring touch, whether from the perimeter or inside, combined with his rebounding ability, makes him a double-double machine and a reliable presence on the floor.

Westercamp is finding his rhythm as a 6’9” power forward with the ability to stretch the floor and score in the paint. His growth in footwork is noticeable, allowing him to be effective in post moves and in the pick-and-roll game. Defensively, his long wingspan makes him a problem, altering shots and snagging rebounds. If Westercamp keeps adding layers to his game—like dominating the boards and anchoring the defense—expect more offers to roll in this season.

The 6-8 sophomore forward is the true definition of a stretch forward, as he can knock down shots at all three levels. Westercamp has a smooth shooting stroke whether it’s out on the perimeter or around the rim with his back to the basket. He is an above average rebounder for his size and is unafraid to play with a little physicality on the defensive end. Westercamp moves quickly to defend out on the perimeter as he is at his absolute best when he is challenging shots.

The 6-8 rising sophomore has gained a ton of confidence this summer playing for Ponte Vedra. Westercamp can score on all three levels as well as defend out on the perimeter despite his size. He has a smooth handle and can pass exceptionally well for his size. He has a knack to pick up the mismatch and can finish at the front of the rim against quicker defenders. On the defensive side, Westercamp rebounds well and is quick to jump the passing lanes where he can get out in transition.
