Smythe is one of those players that just gets it. He knows what he’s good at and he knows how to take advantage of it. His jumper for instance. Smythe can shoot the ball, but he also knows how to get open and when he has a good look at the rim. This understanding of his own game helps him be an elite player.

It feels like we’ve been talking about Smythe’s shooting for a decade now. I guess we hit that number. Well, here it is again….Smythe is an elite shooter. It’s not just the pure shot that’s impressive, but it’s his feel on the perimeter and ability to find open spaces.

Smythe was electric with Team Rose 3SSB at the PH Circuit’s Midwest Melee. All word seems to say that ‘one of the best shooters in the gym’ could be an accurate description. Smythe is, has been, and will be a game changer from behind the arc.

Smythe is flat out one of the best pure shooters in the state of Michigan. He can fill up a triple off the bounce or off the catch. Off the catch is a pretty sight as he catches it clean and has a pure transition into his shot. Part of the reason his stock is rising is his improvement in finishing at the rim. Smythe can finish with 2 handed power as well as in traffic.
