ALL FINAL 4 TEAM
Trey McKenney Trey McKenney 6'4" | CG Orchard Lake St. Mary's | 2025 State #27 Nation MI (Orchard Lake St. Mary’s)
McKenney may have just put his name up there with the all time great high school players in the history of the state of Michigan. McKenney averaged 26 points per game in the Final 4. Even more impressive was his efficiency, rebounding and defense that he showed in addition to his scoring output.
Sharod Barnes Sharod Barnes 6'2" | SG Orchard Lake St, Mary's | 2025 State #365 Nation MI (Orchard Lake St. Mary’s)
This Final 4 was highlighted by elite defenders and top notch defensive teams. Defense does indeed win championships and this year proved the old adage true. Enter Sharod Barnes Sharod Barnes 6'2" | SG Orchard Lake St, Mary's | 2025 State #365 Nation MI . His perimeter D was essential in his teams run to the state title.
Daniel Smythe Daniel Smythe 6'3" | CG Orchard Lake St. Mary's | 2024 State MI (Orchard Lake St. Mary’s)
Smythe has sort of flown under the radar a bit. But not anymore. He’s been one of the most consistent outside shooters in the state for years now and it was nice to see it displayed on the big stage. He had 18 points in the semifinal win.
Tyler Spratt Tyler Spratt 6'5" | SF North Farmington | 2024 State #272 Nation MI (North Farmington)
Remember that talk about defense before? Well Spratt might have been the best on ball and pressure defender in Michigan throughout the entire season. His ability to player chaotic yet controlled defense was key in the semifinals. He also paced his team offensively averaging 18 points between the 2 games.
Landon Williams Landon Williams 6'4" | PG North Farmington | 2024 State MI (North Farmington)
Williams and Spratt were one of the best backcourts in the state and should go down in basketball lore at North Farmington. Like Spratt, Williams is a fast footed defender that can defend the length of the floor. He averaged 15 points per game in the Final 4.
HONORABLE MENTION
Merritt Alderink Merritt Alderink 6'7" | PF Zeeland West | 2024 State #245 Nation MI (Zeeland West)
Alderink’s Zeeland West squad saw their season come to a close in the semifinals. The Michigan Mr. Basketball finalist led his team in scoring with 9 points. Alderink put on a show through the course of the playoffs.
Macari Moore Macari Moore 6'2" | PG Ann Arbor Huron | 2025 State MI (Ann Arbor Huron)
Moore was his team’s leading scorer with 11 points in their semifinal loss to the eventual champion Orchard Lake St. Mary’s. That number may not seem incredibly high, but it was a hard fought and earned 11 against some of the best defenders in the state.
Jayden Savoury Jayden Savoury 6'6" | SF Orchard Lake St. Mary's | 2025 State MI (Orchard Lake St. Mary’s)
Savoury was just an all around menace for Orchard Lake St. Mary’s. Just the fact that he’s there forces defense to adjust. How do you attack an elite all around athlete that can defend, rebound and run the floor?
