North Farmington got a gritty win over a Canton GlenOak squad that for three quarters looked ready to knock North Farmington from the ranks of the unbeatens. In the fourth, North Farmington locked down defensively and made enough plays down the stretch to get the win. Spratt, a Cleveland State commit, had his future college coaches in attendance for this one and played well throughout. With a great frame, Spratt is going to be a monster physically in a few years. A knockdown shooter off the catch, Spratt has the shooting, athleticism and upside to be a big-time contributor as an upperclassman in the Horizon League.

Spratt is a big time guard prospect out of Michigan. He’s one of those players that you need to see live, or at least pay close attention to, to truly see his impact on the game. He’s a selfless player that wants wins more than points. Don’t get me wrong, Spratt could go off for 20 plus every game and he will if that means a win. But if his team needs 8 and assists, he’s going to get those too.

Spratt is an elite guard in the state and there are many schools that would love to show up or check out the livestream to see him play. He’s coming off a terrific spring grassroots season and has established himself as an elite 2 way guard and distributor.

I love this kids approach to the game. He could average a 20 spot in high school ball and in grassroots play. But instead of making sure that ‘he gets his’, he makes sure that the team wins. Spratt makes winning plays. He’s going to make those same winning plays at the next level.

Spratt is a special kind of player. He has the old school 1980’s toughness, grit and defensive focus. He also has the modern day athleticism and playmaking abilities. Combine those 2 and you have one of the top 2 way players in the state. Spratt had an excellent spring grassroots season and will continue that trend at the DC Elite Summer League.

Spratt’s rise in the rankings was a long time coming. He’s so tough to defend with his combination of length and strength. These traits allow him to be an excellent rebounding guard. Spratt can get the ball in transition with the dribble off a rebound. Spratt is a winner through and through and is willing to contribute in whatever way is needed to pick up a W.

Spratt has proven to be a big time player. In what seems to North Farmington fashion, he’s a kid that could average 20 plus points a game, but instead masters the little things and contributes to a winning team and environment. That may not sound huge, but college coaches want players with the winners mindset that Spratt has. Especially when that player has an elite skill set like Spratt has.
