Habhab reminds me a lot of Hutch Ward, currently playing at Wayne State.

Sometimes when you’re walking or driving through ice, you can sort of steer around it or sidestep it. You can’t do that against Habhab, because he can slip you up all over the court. Want to step back and stop him from going to the rim? Good luck because he’ll bury a triple. Want to step out on this shot? That probably won’t work and you might end up getting dunked on.

I’m going to put Habhab in here as a little bit of a wrinkle. He’s a floor stretching power forward that’s a huge threat from behind the arc. He reminds me a ton of Hutch Ward from “The Hutch Ward Explosion”. This year we might see the next “Explosion” with Habhab’s shooting and ability to attack and finish above the rim.

Habhab is a matchup nightmare and his numbers could portray that next season. Sometimes in video games you get those matchups where you just can’t stop a guy. Habhab could be just that. What are teams going to do to slow a tall and long 4 that can step outside and bury a triple just as easy as rim run and finish with force?

Habhab remibds me a lot of 2023 grad Hutch “The Hutch Ward Explosion” Ward. He’s a versatile forward in his options and abilities when it comes to getting buckets. Step out on him and he’ll take you to the bucket and finish above the rim. Sit back on Habhab and he’ll get hot from behind the arc.

Habhab really broke out with his play with Coach Baiz and the Michigan Warriors. In all honesty, his game reminds me a lot of Ward above. He’s a long 4 that can heat up from behind the arc and stretch the floor. Habhab can also finish with flare above the rim. He has the potential to be a top notch rim protector as well.

Habhab made a loud statement over grassroots season. I always referenced the “Hutch Ward Explosion” but Habhab’s summer could have been the “Habhab Hurricane”. He stretched the floor with his jumper and finished strong with 2 hands.
