He’s always been a highly instinctive player who can make plays for others and create momentum shifting plays defensively, but he has really put in the work over the last year or so to develop into a complete scorer as well. The 3-point shot has been steadily improving and his shot-making off the dribble was really impressive on Saturday. He sunk shots in big spots and with hands right in his face, showing another layer to his game as he enters his junior year.
He reminded me again why he’s an elite level prospect. At 6-foot-7 he can play all over the floor. He made a huge block, high above the rim, but made it look easy rising up to send the shot back. He hit a couple of really deep threes with ease and rose up for some monster dunks in transition. In between all of that, he showed some ability off the dribble, but also still looks like he’s feeling out his new teammates a bit after spending the last season at BFL Prep.

This kid doesn’t have to put up crazy numbers to show why he’s such a high prospect in Washington. He’s a competitor and made some really timely plays on both ends of the floor. He plays a pass-first role but can create his own looks and hit shots at every level. He also made a huge block at the rim in transition to show off some bounce.
This was the first time I got to see the younger Hennig in person and I was really impressed with his length and toughness. He was able to convert some shots on the move in the paint, finding some gaps in the defense and sinking some contested shots. He added some rebounding and used some of that length to make some plays defensively. He showed a lot of promise and played confidently enough to suggest he’ll be a solid contributor this season.
The Garfield guard has some quick moves from the perimeter, was able to put the ball on the floor a bit and make some drives, but really stood out for his long-distance shooting. He’s an excellent spot-up shooter, doesn’t mind shooting over the top of defenders, and has some good strength when he goes inside.
He’s just a crafty guard on both ends who’s also really improved physically, getting stronger to convert more easily at the rim and was a force getting out in transition. Spencer knows how to score the ball and did a great job spotting up from three in transition and showed some quick hands defensively to make some plays.

I was not expecting to see Sun at the event but the 2028 guard played up to the competition. He’s a pretty impressive guard who has some shake, hits shots from all levels, and wasn’t bashful about attacking his man while he was on the floor. He played with no fear and I’m expecting big things from him in the future.
He doesn’t have the most conventional shot but was letting them go from behind the arc. He was a little streaky but when he found the range he was really impactful knocking down the outside shots from kick-outs and in transition. He’s also a strong rebounder, even when he’s outmatch size-wise he still shows the scrappiness to outwork other frontcourt players and has a quick burst off the floor.
Fox is a hard-working big that runs the floor extremely well, shows toughness to finish strong inside and has the athleticism to fill the lanes on the break and finish above the rim. I think there’s a little more to his game than he showed on Saturday. There were a few glimpses of him being able to handle the ball and take his man off the bounce and looks like he can stretch the floor at times.
Aklog is a really skilled forward shooting from all over and seeing the floor, but Saturday he looked a lot more threatening running the floor, getting on the end of some lobs, and covering more of the floor defensively. He’s got a great combo of skill and size that allows him to defend the paint at a high-level and rack up the blocks.
