Mwale is a good rebounding forward who can stretch the floor a bit and showed some ability to work off the bounce and attack gaps to the hoop. He’s a versatile player who can play around the hoop, on the perimeter, and guard a multitude of positions on the other end.

He doesn’t have the most conventional shot but was letting them go from behind the arc. He was a little streaky but when he found the range he was really impactful knocking down the outside shots from kick-outs and in transition. He’s also a strong rebounder, even when he’s outmatch size-wise he still shows the scrappiness to outwork other frontcourt players and has a quick burst off the floor.

Mwale’s going to be a big add for Bellevue this winter as a guy who works hard around the paint, establishing position, working the glass, defending the rim, and scoring the ball as a pretty diverse frontcourt player. He’s just 6-foot-5 which won’t blow you away as a paint player, but Mwale’s got good leaping ability, has a long reach and constantly outworks opponents inside. He’s a guy you can plug downlow, stick at the high post, or keep moving and count on to find space. He’s also a guy who has the athleticism and IQ to develop into more of a wing as time goes on.
