[player_tooltip player_id='2246933' first='Bennett' last='Cooke'] (Christ Church Episcopal) - [player_tooltip player_id='2246933' first='Bennett' last='Cooke'] begins our list of Freshmen who submitted film for review. This was my first time watching Bennett in any form, which will be the case for most of this story. Cooke showed that he has a very nice all-around game. He is a dependable perimeter shooter when playing as the primary or secondary ball-handler. He can also beat a defender off the drive and finish around the basket. Bennett made some plays on defense, too, forcing a couple of turnovers on his film from a fall league game.

[player_tooltip player_id='2306321' first='Chaz' last='Moss'] (Seneca HS) - Chaz is an interesting prospect. For his age, he appears to be physically advanced. On film, he used his size to dominate around the rim on both ends of the floor, but he also showed that he could run the floor well, score off the dribble, and knock down jump shots. I was impressed with what I saw and I'm interested to see his trajectory as a player.

[player_tooltip player_id='1984859' first='Ethan' last='Singletary'] (Irmo HS) - Ethan showed a knack for getting to the rack on his highlight tape. He has good quickness and a solid handle, but when he gets in the paint he is a very creative and athletic finisher. Singletary also showed that he could cause some problems on the defensive end and make an outside shot, too.

[player_tooltip player_id='2207644' first='Randy' last='Robinson'] (Williston-Elko HS) - Don't let the size fool you with [player_tooltip player_id='2207644' first='Randy' last='Robinson']. Yes, he will dominate the paint in a traditional way with rebounds, blocks, and scoring, but he also can do some impressive stuff outside the paint. On film, he showed very fluid movement and some eye-popping plays scoring off the dribble. He is also a very good free-throw shooter, which at his size and age, is pretty rare to see.

Jerzidan Miller-Brown (TL Hanna HS) - Jerzidan has some impressive flashes with the ball in his hands on his highlight reel. He is a very quick and shifty young guard. He frequently burst past opposing defenders in the half court, getting paint touches looking to score or pass. Miller-Brown also has a good feel for how to maneuver his body in the lane to create space. He can even be an efficient shooter from behind the arc when given too much space.

[player_tooltip player_id='2396551' first='Bowen' last='Swofford'] (Mauldin HS) - Bowen is a terrific scorer for his age. Although he is comfortable and capable at all three levels, it's the shooting that stands out the most on film. He is as confident of a young shooter as I have seen in this series, and he doesn't need a lot of space to let it fly. Swofford also showed that he can see defenses well and knows when to find the open man when he inevitably draws help defenders.

[player_tooltip player_id='1986996' first='Kobe' last='Sims'] (Fox Creek HS) - Kobe's size and athleticism set him apart from some of the other guards on this list. He likes to get downhill, and will use those two attributes to finish at the basket. Sims also had some nice pick-and-roll sets on his film, both as a scorer and facilitator.

[player_tooltip player_id='2248665' first='Tyzai' last='Smith'] (Gilbert HS) - Tyzai already has a nice feel for the game. On film, he showed that he is comfortable with the ball in his hands and making plays for his team. Smith has a very good crossover and a strong overall handle, and he likes to use his floater from 12 feet and in but he can finish at the basket if the shot blockers aren't home.

[player_tooltip player_id='2125308' first='Beau' last='Brannon'] (Wren HS) - Beau could have an instant impact this year at Wren HS. He has some impressive moments on film. Brannon has good size and can do multiple things on the floor well. He moves very well for his size, but has a good handle and is a more than capable shooter as well. Beau is already a strong rim protector too, and has a ceiling to do much more on both ends of the floor.
