Jaelin Stovall | Prep Hoops Scout
An active wing who crashes the boards with purpose, he serves as a defensive anchor and vocal leader on the floor with good size. He finishes above the rim and is continuing to expand his game by operating more out of the mid-post.

The best rebounder on Tuesday in Spartanburg was Moss. Chaz looked terrific on the glass, limiting second chances for opponents by working hard to secure the first miss. Moss’s defensive prowess isn’t limited to rebounding, though, as he can also protect the rim with elite length. Chaz is very hard to finish over when he stays vertical, but he can get into foul trouble when he is over-aggressive as a shot blocker. After getting a stop or a rebound, Moss looks to run the floor in transition. He finished with 9 points and 9 rebounds in the semifinal win.

. He had a well-rounded showing in their loss to HYAA Elite, making plays on both ends of the floor. Moss continued to show his improved jump shot with a confident fadeaway shot in the mid-range and a spot-up three. He also ran the floor well and finished strong in transition. On defense, he was used at the top of a press and in the middle of the zone, both allowing him to use his length to make life difficult for opponents.

Chaz is the first of two young Bobcat standouts that are the foundation of their program’s future. Moss’s shot has continued to improve over the last year and he is very confident in it from the mid-range or behind the arc. Chaz also has lots of length to impact the game on the defensive end. He is a solid rim protector and does a good job of keeping the ball high and finding an outlet pass after he grabs a board. In a matchup with former Region-foe Pendleton, Moss was much more aggressive after getting an early rest and went for 9 Points, 5 Rebounds, and 2 Blocks.

Chaz is a Freshman who has been steadily improving and seeing an increase in production over the course of the season, and one of his biggest games yet came in the first round against Broome. He opened his scoring with a catch-and-shoot three but made a living with his play in the paint after that. He converted several looks from close range, had some strong rebounds, and rejected several Centurion shots at the rim.
