Stepping up off the bench on Friday night for the Lions was Swofford. He chipped in with 11 points in the win, with seven of them coming from the line on nine attempts. Bowen’s two made field goals were both mid-range pull-ups, one of the most trusted moves in his bag. He also showed some good things as a passer, racking up 3 assists as he found both cutters and shooters. The free-throw line has been a deficiency for Legacy at times this season, so if Swofford continues to step up as a guy whom they can trust, he will earn more minutes in tight games.

Swofford was on the other side of McClintock in Wednesday’s third game. This was my first look at Bowen in an official game with his new team, and he fits in well because of his balance of shot-making and play-making. He knocked down two threes on the wings and had a tough, left-handed finish at the rim, while also having a few assists where he kicked to shooters or found his bigs after paint touches. Swofford does have some room for improvement on the defensive end, but that will come as he matures physically and gets comfortable with his new team.

during the Film Room series last year. Bowen has a knack for making things happen when he’s near the ball and is fully engaged on both ends of the floor at all times. He makes life difficult for opposing ball handlers with his quick feet and active hands. He is also a strong playmaker who can get his own bucket or create opportunities for teammates. Swofford is advanced in his ability to read the game from his Point Guard position which is another attribute that helps him on both ends of the floor. Beau is also a very good three-point shooter and will have sets run to get him open on the perimeter.
