Quintin Willis
Quintin Willis
Willis was a standout at the Top 250. He flaunted a nice jumper that he can get off and hit even in traffic or a hand up in front of him. I really liked Willis’ play in the open floor. He filled wings nicely and spread the floor. He could be very effective asa trailer in the break, ready for a kickout pass.
I’ve been preaching about his next level speed and pace of play, but O’Connor showed more aspects of his game on Saturday. I really liked his decision making and ability to play and score off the bal. He’s been on an upward swing for a few months now.
Highlights
Beachnau made a statement at the Top 250. He showed that he’s a scoring threat from multiple spots on the floor. Beachnau can manipulate matchups and take smaller defenders down low and spread the floor when bigger players defend him.
Kohler is a player to watch this coming high school season. He proved that much at the very least. Kohler was strong and steady with the ball. He rarely turned it over and made strong and smart passes.
I knew Braun was good, but he showed me something on Saturday. I knew he was strong, physical and really controlled the paint. I was incredibly impressed when I saw his jumper and saw him bury a corner 3. College coaches will love that aspect of his game, that’s for sure.
Highlights
Allen was tremendous at the Top 250. He’s an exciting lead guard that can get down the floor. I guess the best way to describe what I saw is sneaky-dynamic, meaning he has a knack for making a great play look easy.
Highlights
Kerby did some really hood things at the Top 250. He showed the potential to be a top notch passer. Kerby kept his head up, read the floor and delivered the ball. He showed us that he could be accurate with a pass on the move.
Swope had a really good day at the Top 250. His overall athleticism is definitely underrated. He showed that with his blow by speed and craftiness. Swope can get to the rim and make plays.
Highlights
Johnson definitely drew my attention at the Top 250. His positional height and length are instant advantages. Johnson is a multi level scorer that looks ready to have a big high school season.
The Top 250 just helped to confirm my belief in this young man. Watch out for him this coming high school season. He’s a way more polished scorer than he was last year. Dirschell will have a lot more looks this season as well, so a big senior campaign looks like a strong possibility.
Alex Genuise
Alex Genuise
Genuise definitely made a statement at the Top 250. I liked his jumper and the range on it, but that’s obvious. What I REALLY liked was his footwork and movement off the ball. Genuise found space and was shot ready.
Cornelius Hearn
Cornelius Hearn
Hearn drew eyes on his game in Grand Rapids. He was a silky smooth athlete that found and utilized even the smallest lanes to the rim. Hearn can turn the corner on defenders and make plays downhill.
Dorsett was once again solid in Grand Rapids at the Top 250. He’s a selfless player that’s willing and able to get the ball where it needs to go. Just like last year, he brought energy and hustle to both ends of the floor.
Highlights
Weston showed that he’s a big time talent. He’s an electric scorer that’s a menace with the ball in the open floor. Weston can create off the bounce and is a multi level scorer. He’s going to be fun to watch over the next few years.
