‘Locals’ Shine At Elite Open Run

I'm from the Ann Arbor area and work in Jackson, so there were some players there that were 'local' to me. He did some really good things at the open run. Samaha was a consistent defensive rebounder. He was also a definite post defense threat on almost every possession. Samaha's size and strength alone make him an asset. I was impressed with his ease of movement at the open run. He looked tall, strong, and athletic at this event. Higelmire looked like a player with many faces. He can defend all over the floor and is a 3 level threat on offense. Screenshot this if you don't believe it. He played unselfish basketball at the open run, advancing the ball and getting it to the right spot. He didn't shoot the ball incredibly well, but I've seen the kid play 1000 times. I know he can get the ball in the basket. I really liked the way that his athleticism still stood out, even in a group of top notch players. And he did it in big games against big name players and programs. I liked what I saw from him at the Elite Open Run. Oftentimes, it was his scoring that stood out this summer. This time, it was his ability to handle, pass, and make good decisions with the ball. He looked the part at the open run. Callan was just too strong and had his way with defenders when he got downhill. He's so strong that it's incredibly tough to knock him off his path.
