I’ll say it again: Brody Johnson is a next level player. Not just that, but I think he’ll be an influential next level player. Once again, like he does every year, he showed the frame and the versatility needed to a successful college player. Johnson was able to run the floor, either on or off the ball. He also showed the ability to play through both hands.

Versatility is the name of the game here. He doesn’t just defend multiple positions, but he does it well. I could see Johnson doing the same thing at the next level. He’s a high IQ defender that sees and reads the situation and stays 1 step ahead of the offense.

at the showcase. Not surprising though, as he always shows up to play. Johnson flaunted tremendous positional size and versatility. He can handle like a guard, but score through defenders and around the rim with the power of a post player. Johnson even showed a pretty drop step and score with his back to the basket.

Johnson could and should make a really nice addition to a program at the next level. He’s a tall and long wing that can attack his matchup going outside-in as well as inside-out. Johnson is an underrated passer that can find teammates off the perimeter and from the paint.

Johnson is an impressive prospect that has a lot going for him. He often has a size and strength mismatch on the perimeter. Johnson utilized this earlier in the week by driving with physicality and even backing down smaller defenders. His passing and court vision stood out a lot in this game. He also did a very nice job finding lanes to cut through and moving without the ball.

has a chance to be a big time prospect. All the skill and upside is there. Johnson has great positional height and versatility. He’s a terrific shooter from behind the arc that can fire it up off the bounce as well as shoot it over top of his defender. Johnson could come away from this event with a lot of interest from college coaches.
