Kohler is a very high level guard that plays a relentless style of basketball. He’s quick and fast with it in his hands and plays the game in constant motion. That includes off the ball as well. Kohler gets the ball to it’s spots and then works tirelessly to make the defense move and rotate.

Kohler is a good old fashioned basketball player. I’m very thankful that I’ve had the chance to get to know this young man, as a person as a player. Because quite frankly, he’s awesome at them both. Kohler plays with endless energy and is a true leader on the floor. His tremendous skill set comes from relentless work and a winning approach to the game.

Here’s that guy again. He’s a high energy lead guard that just makes excellent decisions with the ball. Kohler handles it and distributes it with efficiency. He can advance the ball through pressure with both the dribble and the pass. But that’s not all. He can go get big buckets as well.

Kohler is a player that I’ve been incredibly impressed with. He didn’t disappoint at the David Barns Showcase. Kohler just knows how to play the game of basketball. He was one of the best passers in the gym and consistently made sure the ball moved along the perimeter. Mark my words, Kohler is a sure thing next level lead guard.

Kohler is a play that I have a lot of familiarity with. I’ll just be perfectly blunt, he’s a next level point guard. Kohler directs the offense, with or without the ball, and does a great job of controlling the pace and feel of the game. He moves relentlessly without the ball.

Kohler has been outstanding on the Prep Hoops Circuit all spring and summer and he continued his tear at the Grit Region Finals on Saturday. He’s so smooth and dynamic with the ball in his hands. It felt like Kohler could touch the paint and create whenever he touched the ball. I really liked the way he worked and moved off the ball this weekend.

Kohler can be found running with the Blue Water Hurricanes 2026 team. He’s had a terrific grassroots season and has shown the ability to take over games. Kohler’s scoring continues to improve which is a scary thought for future opponents. He’s a true lead guard that can put up big numbers without being shot heavy.
