Please keep in mind that is NOT an all-inclusive list, but just a representation of what I witnessed at the event.
Take a look at some more PH Top 250 coverage below!
Kai Saito
Kai Saito
Saito was impressive at the event. He had top notch foot speed and straight line speed with the ball in his hands. He was dependable with the ball and could finish in traffic, almost getting lost in the lane. Saito pairs well with a high energy wing.
Boos continued his solid string of basketball. He brings a ton of energy to the floor and showed late in the event that he can cause chaos on defense with ball pressure and trapping. Boos was excellent at the point initiating the offense with a dribble drive.
Highlights
Heagle made a statement at the Top 250. He was aggressive offensively, both with a straight line drive with the ball in his hands and on the glass for put backs. Heagle was bouncy under the rim, keeping the rebound alive with a tip and relentlessly going after it.
Highlights
Bentley did Bentley things in Grand Rapids over the weekend. Bentley is good enough and talented enough that I refuse to put a cap on his level. Just like always, he was steady as can be with the ball and a great decision maker. Bentley showed us that he can get a little aggressive with the ball and get at the rim and score.
James used the Top 250 to show that he’s a player that college coaches need to see this coming high school season. First of all, he showed us that he’s a shooter through and through. But even more than that, he’s an athletic shooter that can get his shot up in traffic or with a hand in his face.
Highlights
Cull showed out for scouts and coaches at the event. He has a next level frame right now. The young man is strong and can handle and dish out contact on his way to the rim. Cull is a versatile player that can battle with bigs as well as step outside and do damage.
Highlights
Cicalo was excellent at the Top 250 on Saturday. You HAVE to ignore height with this young man. He’s very quick and a solid ball handler. Cicalo beats the defense to his spots and gets looks at the rim. He actually pulled down at least 5 rebounds in a half when I saw him play.
Highlights
Pleyer can be a high major prospect at the point guard position. He’s an elite athletic scorer, but is also a top notch distributer and ball handler. Watch him this high school season when you see him as a full time lead guard. He’ll blow you away.
Highlights
Allen was excellent in Grand Rapids. He’s an explosive guard that just makes plays. Allen has a fast first step and can shake defenders off the bounce. If he get’s in an iso, watch out.
Calvert played some really good basketball over the weekend. It was hard to really show out being surrounded by elite guards, but if you watched him play you saw what I saw. Calvert is steady, dependable and smart with his play. He reads the game and the situation with near perfection.
