They had players with a variety of skill sets for coaches and scouts to see. Let’s take a closer look at some of the players that stood out from teams 6-10 at the Top 250.
* Please keep in mind that there were hundreds of players in the gym and 20 teams so this just goes by what I was able to see and is by no means all-inclusive.

TEAM 6
Allen is a really talented guard and drew my eye on his game Saturday. He’s a steady primary ball handler that can advance the ball with the dribble or the pass. Allen showed that he can run the point effectively in a game at any pace.
Highlights
Nesbary came to the Top 250 ready to play. He showed a combination of strength and athleticism that was a natural advantage. Nesbary rebounded high and powered up put backs while also hitting jumpers from mid range and behind the arc.
Nash definitely drew eyes on his game over the weekend. He was so strong and tough on the glass, establishing position under the rim on a consistent basis. Nash showed elite touch around the rim.

TEAM 7
Barangan was lights out when I saw him play on Saturday. He went after rebounds with aggression instead of waiting for it to fall to him. Barangan showed that he can get hot from behind the arc when he hit multiple catch and shoot 3’s.

Thomas caught my eye when I watched his team play. I liked his strong hands with the ball in traffic. This allowed Thomas to power up buckets through his defenders. There’s a lot of upside in his game.
TEAM 8
Hureskin was absolutely electric at the Top 250. This young man has to get some more college looks ASAP. He was a dynamic scorer that was at times unstoppable in a 1-on-1 matchup. Hureskin is a player to watch as season approaches.
Henderson used the Top 250 perfectly. He showed scouts and coaches that all the talk about his game recently was more than deserved. Henderson is an elite defender that can swallow his opponents with his length.

TEAM 9
Brock was a showstopper on Saturday in Grand Rapids. He showed everyone in the gym that he’s one of the most exciting finishers in the state. Just like in the last article I’ll say that he has a D1 frame and D1 athleticism.
Johnson drew a lot of eyes on his game and any D1’s on the livestream probably saw what they were looking for. This young man can get off the ground in a hurry and his offensive footwork around the rim is elite.
TEAM 10

Soriano really impressed me when I was able to see him play. He was very dynamic with ball flaunting some blow by speed when he had it in his hands. Soriano also showed 3 point range on his jumper.
Johnson continues to impress with a high quality showing at the Top 250. He’s a super fast player that can really pressure the opposing defense. Johnson showed a willingness and ability to shoot from the outside as well.

Sanders was impressive when I saw him play over the weekend. I really liked his ease of movement and his ability to adjust in the course of the action. Sanders used that ease of movement in a pretty spin move over his left shoulder that he converted into a bucket.
