Bentley is always impressive and was once again in this game. His versatility and ability to play on or off the ball in whatever role his team needs is a tremendous asset. Bentley showed deep range on his jumper off a catch and shoot that was perfectly in rhythm. He used the bounce pass to pick up assists and showed the ability to finish in traffic. Bentley’s defense was absolutely elite in this game. He picked up at half court and forced turnovers.

Winners win because they know what’s going on around them and have the ability to react in the right way. That’s a perfect definition of Bentley’s game. He knows what his team needs and consistently delivers.

does best – lead. He reads the game and realizes what his team needs from him in order to get a win. Need a big stop? Bentley will get it. Need a big bucket? Give him the ball and let him go to work. It takes a great mental game to be that type of player.

Bentley did Bentley things in Grand Rapids over the weekend. Bentley is good enough and talented enough that I refuse to put a cap on his level. Just like always, he was steady as can be with the ball and a great decision maker. Bentley showed us that he can get a little aggressive with the ball and get at the rim and score.

Bentley is like must see TV at the Prep Hoops Michigan Top 250 this weekend. He’s going to be even more than a steal for a next level program. Adding Bentley to a college roster could be like ripping off For Knox. He’s a true team player that puts stats behind W’s when it comes to what he wants out of the game. Simply put, Bentley is a winner.

A true coach on the floor isn’t just a superstar talent, but instead a player that knows what he has to do for his team to pick up a win. That’s exactly what Bentley does every time he steps on the basketball court. Could he average 20 points a game and be a highlight reel? Probably. But that doesn’t always win games. Instead Bentley plays selfless basketball. He defends at a high level, works to get his teammates open and stays strong with the ball.

Bentley is flat out a team first winner. The young man plays to win and it doesn’t matter to him who gets the stat lines. Bentley will get the ball to an open teammate every time he can. He did just that at the David Barns Showcase.

Bentley has one of the most well rounded games in the state, so it almost seems obvious that he’s on this list. He’s strong enough and quick enough that he can turn and direct his opponent on D. Bentley did a great job covering and closing out on shooters on Saturday.

This was a fitting ending to the grassroots season for Bentley. His Hopson Elite team won a championship at Nothin’ But Net. Bentley was in typical form, hitting all corners of the stat sheet and playing an incredibly efficient brand of basketball. He continued to prove that he has one of the highest basketball IQ’s in the state.

Let’s start here – If I heard that a D1 school offered him, I’d say that a gutsy but very smart offer. VERY smart. The young man is a true team over self type of person and player and his locker room influence is a huge value in itself. Bentley is a terrific 2 way player with an elite mid range game. He’s one of the best decision makers with the ball in the state.
