The 20th annual installment of the event brought together around 200 prospects form 13 different states and featured two of California’s best sophomores. Below we break down some of the top performers from the 2026 class.
Tyran Stokes Tyran Stokes 6'7" | SF Prolific Prep | 2026 State CA-N , 2026, Prolific Prep
Stokes looked like a man amongst boys in this event both because he was the most physically and athletically gifted player in the gym but also because his skill level is extremely high and polished. The 6-foot-7 wing got wherever he wanted on the floor offensively and capped those possessions with highlight reel dunks or high-arching three-pointers that hit nothing but net. There’s a reason why Stokes is considered one of the top sophomores in the country and he showed why.
Brandon McCoy Brandon McCoy 6'4" | CG St. John Bosco | 2026 State CA-S , 2026, St. John Bosco
McCoy is our top-ranked prospect in Southern California’s 2026 class and he’s a national Top 10 prospect and he proved why he deserves that level of respect. The 6-foot-4 combo guard is a gifted three-level scorer with natural feel for the game. Everything seems to come easy to McCoy as his fluidity off the dribble combined with his explosive athleticism around the basket makes him an extremely tough cover. McCoy’s consistent three-point and mid-range jump shots are the ultimate separator for his game.
Julius Price Julius Price 6'2" | CG St. Joseph | 2026 State CA-S , 2026, St. Joseph
Price arrived a tad bit late to the event due to a three hour-plus drive from Santa Maria but it had no impact on his production when he took the floor. The 6-foot-3 point guard immediately commands the ball, position and flow of the game and was one of few top-ranked prospects in attendance who looked to get teammates involved as much as he looked to get himself baskets. Price is a strong downhill driver and finisher who can also knock down three-point shots off the catch and off the bounce.
Elias Obenyah Elias Obenyah 6'4" | CG Salesian Prep | 2026 State CA-N , 2026, Salesian College Prep
Obenyah continues to come into his own as a combo guard and spent a lot of his time Saturday running the show for his team. The 6-foot-4 sophomore has great size, length and athleticism for the position but it was the way he orchestrated things with the ball in his hands that stood out the most. He didn’t force offensive actions, got teammates touches in areas where they could be successful and made sure to put his own imprint on the offensive end with driving baskets and perimeter jumpers.
Brayden Kyman Brayden Kyman 6'8" | SF Santa Margarita | 2026 State CA-S , 2026, Santa Margarita
Kyman is an extremely savvy and high IQ wing/forward who we’ve written about quite a bit on the SoCal website. At 6-feet-7+, the sophomore is an inside-out scoring threat who flashed improved ball skills and athleticism on Saturday, resulting in him taking advantage of open driving lanes or poor closeouts to get to the rim for high percentage finishes. Kyman’s three-ball wasn’t dropping as much as we’re used to seeing but he made plays with his vision and passing for teammates on the perimeter.
