Continue ReadingLewis is a kid that has been covered by me before. His ability to get to the whole and finish with authority is something that has increased over the past few months. What I have enjoyed about his game that has improved the most is his ability to willingly get his teammates involved. In the past, he was okay forcing shots but now he always seems to make the right basketball play for his team. I think at the next level his best position will be the point guard because it will allow him to be able to see over defenses better and put him in a position to score as well.
Highlights
Hellman is a straight rebounding machine that loves hanging around the rim on both ends of the floor. When he is up under the rim you can be assured that he will get the rebound on defense to help start your fastbreak and on offense to help you get second-chance opportunities. He has a great knack for basketball and always knows where to be on both ends of the floor. As I sat back and watched him he was just fine with his identity as being a rebounder and didn’t care that much for scoring the basketball. Upon getting the rebound he is willing to kick it out to the open man to create a second shot attempt for him.

Steven Anderson
Anderson is a guy that knows how to get to his spot and score. He is an old-school type of player that can shoot the three and get to the whole but his favorite shot is being able to go full speed and pull up in the mid-range. On the defensive side of the ball, he uses his long arms to be able to disrupt the ball handler from being able to get in a flow. One thing I loved about his game is how he instinctively knows when to speed up and when to slow down. His personality is very easy to love and wherever he ends up going to school, I feel the coaches will love coaching him and building a relationship over time.
Thompson is a flat-out shooter who has added the ability to do some things off of the dribble. He had the best put-together performance throughout the camp and I have him as my MVP of the showcase. When seeing Thompson in the past he needed a good point guard to be able to get him the ball. Now he has no issues bringing the basketball up and starting the offense himself. Throughout the showcase, he led his team and consistently made three-point shots contested and got to the rim to finish with both hands. As his game continues to grow I can see him being a guy that can play the point guard or shooting guard position at the next level.
Gunn is a guard that I have seen in the past that is an absolute pure point guard. He has always been a pass-first type of guy but what I noticed that he added to his game during this camp is his ability to consistently shoot the three and his explosiveness when going to the whole. When going to the whole in the past he deferred to shooting layups but now those same attempts he is trying to dunk it. Gunn didn’t mind pressing guards full court and forcing them to tuhe ball over and making sure that whatever team he is playing on they are having fun. His willingness to compete is something that will make him a great prospect at the next level.
