This class took a hit with several top ten players opting to leave for prep schools but the class still has a good depth of talent in it. Here’s a look at some of the biggest movers in this update.
Butler rocketed up the rankings, moving all the way from 29th overall to 9th. Coming off a Sophomore season where he had multiple triple doubles, Jonah impressed the staff at Lipscomb enough that he earned his first D1 offer from the Bison. He also had a 40+ point game in front of coaches at Collins in June.

While Woodford County will certainly feel the loss of Jasper Johnson, Waide is thriving in a bigger role. Moving up from 39th to 20th in this update, Santonio is playing with the ball in his hands almost all the time for Woodford now. Look for him to have a breakout Junior year for the Jackets after having a big spring and summer of AAU.
Sharing the backcourt with Waide both during the high school season and during AAU, Jenkings rises from 42nd overall to 30th in this update. Jaunte should see a big rise in his scoring numbers this season and could see a boost in his college stock as a result.

One of those players that gets overlooked because of being in Western Kentucky and playing at a small school, Jace climbs 11 spots from 54th to 43rd this update. Birney is among the most valuable prospects to his team in the class as Ballard Memorial relies on him to do about everything for them. Moving forward, Jace should be on the radar for in state NAIAs and D2s.

Sometimes a transfer alone can help a player get a better role. Dunn moves from 65th to 51st after going from Bryan Station to Montgomery County. As a result of the move, Ethan is playing with the ball in his hands much more and getting an opportunity to be more of a true point guard. Already a good defender, Dunn’s offensive growth is worth watching this season.
