10. Ben Fox Ben Fox 6'3" | SG East Wake | 2025 State NC – 6’3 – East Wake High School
Fox emerged on the varsity stage with East Wake High this past season as a top sharpshooter in the state. He uses his size well at 6-foot-3 to rise up over defenders to knock down jumpers all over the floor. He returns looking to be a staple under a new head coach after averaging 9.4 PPG, 2.7 APG and 1.9 RPG on 41 percent shooting from the floor and 37 percent shooting from 3-point land. He’s due for a strong junior campaign after knocking down 57 3-pointers as a sophomore. College of Charleston has offered him.
9. Parker Bye Parker Bye 6'3" | SG Trinity Academy | 2025 State NC – 6’3 – Trinity Academy Raleigh
Bye is a shooting guard prospect that’s quietly climbed up the radar in the 2025 class in the state. He’s got a confident shooting stroke that’s due to grow for the Trinity Academy Raleigh backcourt after he developed nicely with UpNext Hoops this past grassroots season. He does well to find his shot in space and off the bounce within the offense and should be a focal point this season for TAR. DII programs in the region should get eyes on him.
8. Hayes Oxendine Hayes Oxendine 6'3" | SG Leesville Road | 2025 State NC – 6’2 – Leesville Road High School
Oxendine is another underrated sharpshooting threat out of the 919 area at Leesville Road High. He can really score the ball efficiently, especially on the perimeter and is fearless when he really finds his rhythm. He had a 43-point game in an overtime victory over Wake Forest High this past season. He’s a rising junior due for a big season on the NCHSAA stage. DII and DIII programs should get eyes on him.
7. Ty Sanders Ty Sanders 6'3" | SG North Lincoln | 2025 State NC – 6’3 – North Lincoln High School
Sanders is an emerging shooting guard name out of the 704 area to keep eyes on in the current rankings at No. 7. He was one of two sophomore names to know in their rotation as he did work in the backcourt shooting the ball and making plays for others. He finished with 12.2 PPG, 4.0 APG, 2.9 RPG and 1.1 SPG on 43 percent shooting from the field and 29 percent from deep. He’ll show his development after playing up on 17U with Carolina Riptide on the grassroots scene this past spring/summer. He’s a name for college programs of all levels to get eyes on given his continued development.
6. Christian Wilkins Christian Wilkins 6'4" | SG 1 Of 1 Academy | 2025 State NC – 6’4 – 1 of 1 Academy
Wilkins is a name to get to know with 1 of 1 Academy as he continues to grow into a national prospect. He’s an explosive, wiry guard at 6-foot-4 that’s shown he’s capable of catching fire in a hurry on the interior and gives increased versatility on defense given his length on the opposite end. He knocked down 22 3-pointers this past season as his role is due to grow entering his junior season with 1 of 1 Academy on the freelance stage. They play a tough, national schedule that typically matches them up against other next-level prospects.
5. Jonah Lawrence Jonah Lawrence 6'3" | CG Providence Day | 2025 State NC – 6’3 – East Mecklenburg High School
Lawrence is a prospect out of the Charlotte metro area set to turn a corner this season at East Mecklenburg High. He was a top sophomore in their rotation as he averaged 20.3 PPG, 7.4 RPG, 3.6 APG and 1.1 SPG in 2022-23. He knocked down 37 3-pointers this past season behind Jordon Nevill, who’s headed to Queens University. He’s another potential DI target in their rotation to track over the next few seasons with other younger talent around him to work with.
4. Mason Dobie Mason Dobie 6'2" | SG First Flight | 2025 State NC – 6’0 – First Flight High School
Dobie is set to lead First Flight High in a big way as he enters his junior season on the varsity roster. He’s a fearless competitor that’s instant offense when the ball comes his way. He’s got a high IQ for maneuvering around defenses for buckets using his length/wingspan. He returns as their leader after posting 16.9 PPG, 4.8 RPG and 2.9 APG on 45 percent shooting from the floor in 2022-23.
3. Nick Hailey Nick Hailey 6'6" | SG Providence Day | 2025 State NC – 6’6 – Providence Day School
Hailey is one of a few names to get to know at Providence Day School in 2023-24. He’s a sizeable prospect in the backcourt at 6-foot-6 that’s improved his body tremendously as he continues to climb up the radar at the shooting guard role. He’s got the ability to create off the bounce and on the perimeter at a high level as he looks to lead Providence Day to an NCISAA title this season. Western Carolina and Ole Miss have offered him.
2. MJ Williams MJ Williams 5'10" | SG Farmville Central | 2025 State NC – 5’10 – Farmville Central High School
Williams is an impressive shooting guard prospect that continues to hold his own in the 2025 ranks. He’s a confident scoring guard at 5-foot-10 set to grow in a big way in the Farmville Central backcourt after winning a state title in his past two seasons. He’s a prospect for DI and DII programs to get eyes on after playing 17U this past season with Warriors Life Elite.

Madden Collins Madden Collins 6'3" | SG Christ School | 2025 State NC emerges as a new face in the Christ School backcourt in NC’s 2025 class at the top shooting guard spot. The 6-foot-2 scoring guard joins the Christ School rotation from Irmo High (SC) where he led their squad with 15.2 PPG, 4.0 RPG, 3.7 APG and 1.7 SPG on 50 percent shooting from the floor and 31 percent from deep in 2022-23. He looks to bolster the Greenies’ attack with another presence on the wing that can make things happen in space.
