After going 5-0 in their showcase games on Wednesday, Indiana Elite was back in action at the 3SSB Championships in Rock Hill, South Carolina on Thursday. Prep Hoops Indiana moved boots on the group coverage from the Peach Jam to the 3SSB Championships on Thursday as well and will remain in Rock Hill through the final game on Sunday. Let's dive into the action from the beautiful Rock Hill Sports and Event Center and breakdown Indiana Elite 15u, Indiana Elite 16u, Indiana Elite Team Tradition 16u, Indiana Elite Team Indiana 16u, and Indiana Elite 17u.

Indiana Elite 15u

Indiana Elite 15u dominated from start to finish against JSizzles 15u. This group recently bolstered their roster with the additions of [player_tooltip player_id='1560973' first='Ethan' last='Roseman'] (Bishop Chatard 2026) and Keaton Aldridge (Cathedral H.S. 2026) for the month of July. These two prospects had been the stars throughout April and May for Indiana Elite - Aldridge. Along with [player_tooltip player_id='1560995' first='Reggie' last='Hinton'] (Gary West Side H.S. 2026) and several good prospects from the state of Kentucky, this team is now even harder to beat.

That certainly proved true early on Thursday afternoon as they dominated JSizzles 15u 72-48. 6'3" strong shooting guard [player_tooltip player_id='1359133' first='Jacob' last='Spurlock'] (Boyd County H.S. 2026) finished with a game-high 17 points and [player_tooltip player_id='1560973' first='Ethan' last='Roseman'] added 11 points.

In their second game of the night, Indiana Elite trailed by nine points at the half but came roaring back to win 64-61. Keaton Aldridge scored 18 to help lead the way to victory.

Indiana Elite 16u

There might not be a more well-oiled machine at the 16u level on the 3SSB Circuit than Indiana Elite. They dominated most of the game, but did allow Beauchamp Elite 16u to slowly creep back towards single-digits late in the contest. Beauchamp Elite never got over the hump though and Indiana Elite came away with a 63-51 victory.

It was a who's who of college coaches lining the baselines for this contest featuring four-star Class of 2025 center [player_tooltip player_id='1130310' first='Malachi' last='Moreno'] (Great Crossings H.S. 2025). The 6'11" big man had the likes of Kentucky, Duke, Michigan, Michigan State, Indiana, Purdue, and dozens more schools watching him play on Thursday. He certainly gave them something to watch as well as he would score 12 points, pull down several rebounds, and impact the game on the defensive end of the floor. Moreno moves so well for his size and still has a physical side to his game as well.

6'8" forward [player_tooltip player_id='1297019' first='Dezmon' last='Briscoe'] (Crispus Attucks H.S. 2025) also had some college coaches talking as he led Indiana Elite with 13 points. [player_tooltip player_id='1296984' first='Braylon' last='Mullins'] (Greenfield-Central H.S. 2025) knocked in four three-pointers for 12 points as well. They will be back in action on Friday at 2:00 p.m. versus Brookwood Elite.

Indiana Elite 17u

This one got far too close for comfort. Indiana Elite 17u lead Beauchamp Elite 17u 49-31 at one point, but it got all the way down to a one-point game in the final seconds. [player_tooltip player_id='939117' first='Travis' last='Perry'] (Lyon County H.S. 2024) missed a lay-in attempt with about 15 seconds, but the offensive rebound bounced into the backcourt erasing a few extra precious seconds and Beauchamp Elite was forced to foul in the backcourt. Indiana Elite converted one of two free throws and [player_tooltip player_id='1450483' first='Zoom' last='Diallo'] wasn't able to get off a clean shot attempt out of a timeout as the game ended 73-71.

Early on, Iowa commit [player_tooltip player_id='1157231' first='Cooper' last='Koch'] was absolutely on fire from beyond the arc connecting on five three-pointers in the first 10 minutes of the game. He would go on to finish with a team-leading 24 points. [player_tooltip player_id='1363488' first='Flory' last='Bidunga'] (Kokomo H.S. 2024) added 12 points and [player_tooltip player_id='939117' first='Travis' last='Perry'] ended with 10 points. In the loss, [player_tooltip player_id='1450483' first='Zoom' last='Diallo'] led all scorers with 26.

Indiana Elite Team Tradition 16u

Team Tradition was excellent throughout April and May on the Adidas Gold circuit earning a spot in the 3SSB Championships. On Wednesday, they proved they belonged with an impressive victory over Gamepoint Elite. However, on Thursday morning, they ran into a bit of a buzzsaw with New World 16u. They struggled to get anything to fall in the first half while New World seemingly made everything they put up, especially from three-point range.

In the second half, [player_tooltip player_id='1388408' first='Tre' last='Singleton'] (Jeffersonville H.S. 2025) continued to dominate the glass and score inside, [player_tooltip player_id='1373104' first='P.J.' last='Douglas'] (Jeffersonville H.S. 2025) knocked in a three-pointer, and [player_tooltip player_id='1297093' first='Michael' last='Cooper'] (Jeffersonville H.S. 2025) made a couple of plays off of the dribble to cut into the lead. However, they could never get over the hump and New World pulled away once again to win 68-47.

[player_tooltip player_id='1388408' first='Tre' last='Singleton'] finished with 16 points to lead Team Tradition.

I was not able to attend this game, but Team Indiana fell 63-42 against Utah Prospects 16u. They will play again on Friday at 4:30 p.m.
