Greenberg didn’t get much action with Centerville as a Sophomore, but I project a breakout Junior season where he becomes one of the most notable players in Dayton’s 2025 class. Able to play on or off the ball, Greenberg has good size and has made strides during the grassroots season as a primary ball handler with creating for others and using his size to hit floaters and finish at the rim. Once he fills out physically, I see a lot of long term upside with Greenberg for the Elks.
Probably the most athletic player featured in this article, Dammons can jump out the gym and make a big impact in transition. Best when the game is going up and down, Brush will look to play a fast tempo this upcoming season. As an offensive player, Dammons is aggressive slashing to the rim and wants to get downhill. He made some impressive passes in the two games I caught but when he learns to slow down and let the game come to him, his ceiling will be unlocked. Many Brush players have made great strides under Chet Mason and Dammons could be the next prospect to take the next step under the former pro.
Shields caught fire in the one game of Middletown I caught this season, making four of his 16 made 3-pointers for the season in that game alone. He played with a lot of confidence and ended the season on a nice run of games for a young and competitive squad in one of Ohio’s toughest conferences. I liked his size at the wing position and he was athletic enough defensively to stay with guards on the perimeter. Hoping to see a leap as a Junior, Shields also is a standout on the gridiron for the Middies. Also, a high GPA student athlete, Shields should have opportunities to play at the next level in both basketball and football by his senior season.
A small-town stud, Creager has been an impact player for Patrick Henry since his freshmen season at both basketball and football. Watching him in the OHSAA playoffs against Marion Local, I thought Creager was quick and able to get to the rim often off the bounce. Knocking in a few perimeter shots, he was showing a diverse scoring game. For the Ohio Buckets Creager has a smaller role but this allows him to focus defensively and play within the flow of the offense. Expect small college programs to start recruiting Creager about 12 months from now.
Ganley was highly impressive at the Run N Slam and really boosted his stock with a 22-point outing against Shining Star Price’s 16 U squad. Knocking down shots from the perimeter that were set up by his guards, that’s going to be a similar role as what he’ll play with Brecksville as a secondary scoring option on the perimeter. I was also impressed by his ability to finish in a variety of ways at the rim with a floater, two-foot finish and a lefty one foot finish in that game. Defensively he also started to take some steps with active hands and even taking a charge. Expect a bigger role for Ganley as a Junior with the Bees as they once again look to contend for conference and district titles.
The last player in this article and a teammate of Ganley’s during the grassroots season with OBC’s 16 U squad. Brown comes from Sandusky where he and Jason Henlon Jason Henlon 6’0″ | PG Sandusky | 2025 State OH team up during both high school and grassroots competitions, both were recently added to our 2025 rankings after impressive seasons at both levels. Brown is a strong wing guard who wants to use his body to get into the defense and be physical. Another aggressive player, if Brown can play at multiple speeds and slow the game down, you’ll see big steps in his half-court impact.
